prototypes and scrapped projects eventually led to the issuing of what
would be dubbed “The Trundling Pillbox”: an open contract to third
parties aiming to create a Tortuga variant capable of safely
transporting and shielding marine squads during boarding operations.
Many designs ranging from adding a retrofitted crew compartment to
extending its brachial armor to act as a mobile bunker, though
ultimately none of these designs provided satisfactory results.
Within the Breadbasket Cluster, the IPS-N Void Brigantine was attacked
by radicalist Horizon Collective members seeking to liberate many of the
NHPs being transported to an ADI-IND orbital production facility.
Fighting between the Horizon Collective and Trunk Security rapidly
escalated until several NHPs unshackled during the fight ended up
merging into the proto-EIDOLON Verumspatium, quickly trapping the two
sides inside an unstable metavault. Suit Snappers garrisoned at the
facility quickly rushed inside and though many were left helplessly
immobilized alongside those onboard, the team were able to successfully
neutralize Verumspatium. Recovery operations on the Void Brigantine
discovered a liturgicode strand originating from the destroyed
Verumspatium able to modify organic tissue into simultaneously
possessing a vastly increased internal space and partial intangibility.
While it is theorized this was used to phase vast quantities of
lipoactive agents into armored individuals, ADI-IND were able to safely
harness its capabilities and eventually create a frame satisfying all

stomach acting as a bridge. This paracausal space not only can
temporarily ‘shrink’ any entities inside, but also enables two-way

exactly these mechanisms work together remains unclear though they seem

shortfalls or amplifying their strengths. Strangely this combined system
does not draw material from its ambient environment despite the
individual mechanisms doing so on their native chassis. Currently it is

it does not drain the biomass of its pilots or nearby organic creatures.

The exact origins of the Harvester remain shrouded in mystery to the
general public. Some claim that unknown Sparri hunters approached SSC
requesting a frame capable of devouring megafauna in combat, others
believe that it was made in secret by SSC’s Exotic Materials Group in
collaboration with ADI-IND, and a few recounting the likely embellished
story of an insatiable Atlas pilot seeking far greater quarry than his
original frame could provide. In truth none of these are the official
origin of the Harvester frame nor are they entirely separated from its
true story.
Though the revered Atlas has received high praise from Sparri hunters
and Karrakin nobles alike, there has been those believing the frame’s
actual performance is a far cry from what its users praise it as.
Frequently cited complaints include but are not limited to: frequent
microreactor overheating, microneedle fracturing, difficulty knocking
over larger combat machines, and an uncomfortable interior for larger
pilots. These complaints were not unwarranted as the SSC Exotic
Materials Group started work on an improved version of the Atlas chassis
aimed at addressing many of the original’s shortfalls. Initial design
specifications called for the removal of its ornate memory-retention
technologies along with introducing body compressional technologies
acquired from ADI-IND to increase both pilot comfort and synthetic
muscle density. This prototype variant – given the name SSC Dohertyi -
showed promising results in combat trials and rigorous testing but
ultimately failed to capture any significant interest, leading to the
project quietly being abandoned.
One particularly frustrated Atlas pilot going by the name Sonteviak
“Headhunter” Jeitsa eventually caught wind of this project and
approached SSC for more information, taking poorly to the lack of a
proper response and refusal to provide any of the remaining frames.
Sometime after this confrontation, a failed midnight heist by Jeitsa on
an Exotic Materials Group black site led to information about the
Dohertyi reaching ADI-IND with the two negotiating a deal to hand over
information around the Dohertyi in exchange for new breakthroughs in
lipoactive protection measures.
With minimal adjustments and some assistance from the Exotic Materials
Group, production of the Dohertyi soon began with ADI-IND advertising
the frame as a specialized offshoot of the Atlas intended for hunting
down megafauna and combat machines alike. The frame quickly earned a
reputation from impatient and ravenous Sparri hunters able to devour
massive creatures whole along with reports of Dohertyi pilots leaving
pilotless husks of mechs in their wake. ADI-IND quickly sought to create
a revised frame and retrofit package that would further improve its
capabilities, creating what would be known as the Harvester.

signs of a major battle between a local HORUS-supplied rebellion group
and a long-gone Karrakin House. Later investigation revealed that
although utilizing many of the same systems as the Goblins, various
internal parts were either completely absent or heavily altered. Most
notably was the processing weave seeming to change over time to mimic or
match the pilot’s own neural structure, slowly becoming akin to a second
skin or set of clothing rather than a mech chassis. Further research
shows this processing weave shares many similarities with the SSC
Mourning Cloak’s biologically-sourced components. As of now, Adiposa
Industries and SSC have not disclosed the true nature of the Sphinx’s
internals or if they collaborated with the other corporation to create

The Jomini is a highly experimental frame that is rarely seen outside of
Harrison Armory blacksites and eccentric Lancer squads. Developed as an
offshoot of the Sunzi project, the Jomini was intended to utilize its
blinkspace technology to greatly boost the efficiency of logistical
operations by transporting people and supplies through temporary rifts.
Early in the project, engineers and users identified a persistent issue
of ‘misjumps’ no matter how many fixes or solutions were tried. Mechs
reappearing half embedded in walls or into other mechs, going much
shorter or further distances than planned, sometimes even vanishing
altogether. All these issues gave the Jomini project a negative
reputation and it was eventually sidelined for the foreseeable future.
Adiposa Industries, interested in getting their hands on Volador
technologies and furthering relations with Harrison Armories, arranged a
deal to gain the research and prototype models of the Jomini in exchange
for schematics on their Hermetic Compartment and Sylph Composite Armor.
Similar to Harrison Armories, ADI-IND also encountered the pervasive
misjumping issue. Rather than simply writing off the project as a lost
cause or salvaging anything of worth, they instead attempted to
replicate the Minotaur internal metafold to create a vast enough
internal space to give any frames that misjumped into it enough space to
not accidentally merge with the Jomini, thus becoming inseparable. It
was discovered that the Jomini’s metafold, though not modifying the
mech’s cockpit or internal space, created a stable yet exceedingly
destructive pocket dimension any frames teleported into the same area as
the Jomini would wind up. Immediately ADI-IND saw an opportunity and
after some further refining, created a weaponized version of the
Jomini’s persistent blight.
