General Mathematics: The questions will be designed to test the ability to appropriately use
numbers and number sense of the candidate. Moreover, the scope of the test will be the
computation of whole numbers for Example decimals, fractions, and relationships between
numbers, Percentages. Ratio & Proportion, Square roots, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss,
Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Allegation, Time and distance, Time & Work, and

General English: Candidates’ ability to understand correct English, their basic comprehension
and writing ability, etc. would be tested. Questions will be based on spotting the error, filling in
the blanks, synonyms, antonyms, spelling/ detecting misspelled words, idioms & phrases,
one-word substitution, and improvement of sentences.
General Knowledge & Current Affairs: Questions in this component will be aimed at testing
the candidate's general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society.
Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and such matters of
everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any
educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring
countries, especially about History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Policy &
Scientific Research.
Science – Questions of General Science will include especially test knowledge of matters of
everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any
educated person who didn’t study science as a subject. It will Also Include Knowledge of the
Subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from the level of 12th Standard.
Indian History and Geography: The Questions of Social Study in the DPAR Puducherry UDC
Exam will include Indian History, Culture, Geography, Environment, Economic aspects,
Freedom Movement, major features of Indian Agriculture & Natural Resources, and Indian
Constitution & Polity, Panchayati Raj, community development and 5 years Plan. Generally The
General Knowledge of the Geographical and Political condition of Bihar.
