Crochet Mushroom Doll Pattern

Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced


Method: Amigurumi (worked in continuous rounds)
Hook: 2.25 - 2.5 mm
Yarn: Cotton or acrylic yarn in white/cream (body & underside of cap), red (top of cap), and a small amount
of black (for mouth embroidery).
Stuffing: Polyester fiberfill
Safety Eyes: 10 - 12 mm

Abbreviations
MR = magic ring
sc = single crochet
inc = increase (2 sc in the same stitch)
dec = decrease (sc 2 together)
ch = chain
sl st = slip stitch
BLO = back loop only
FLO = front loop only

1. Body & Head (worked as one piece)


With white/cream yarn:
1. MR 6 sc (6)
2. inc ×6 (12)
3. (sc, inc) ×6 (18)
4. (2 sc, inc) ×6 (24)
5. (3 sc, inc) ×6 (30)
6-12. sc in each st (30)
13. (3 sc, dec) ×6 (24)
14. (2 sc, dec) ×6 (18)
15. (sc, dec) ×6 (12) — Start legs.

Legs: Divide stitches into two sets of 6. Work each leg separately for 6 rounds, FO.

Rejoin yarn at the top of the body to start the head:

FO, sew top and underside together.

4. Ruffled Collar
With white yarn:
Join yarn around the neck area.
1. FLO: (sc, ch 2, sc in same st) around.
2. Work 1 round of sc over the same stitches.

5. Assembly
- Place safety eyes between rounds 8 and 9 of head, about 6-7 stitches apart.
- Embroider a small mouth between the eyes with black yarn.
- Sew arms to each side of the body.
- Position the cap on the head and sew securely.
- Hide all yarn tails.
