BEADINGSCHOOL ACADEMY
beadingschool.com/beadingschool-academy/
The biggest and most valuable beady adventure that we’ve created.
A fun beady experience, designed and guided by Erika, that comes with
an inspiring theme, a collection of beads and components every 2 months,
an e-learning area with articles and beading tutorials,
and a community of Beadingschool Students who shape the whole experience together.
TIPS & TRICKS
In general
• Make sure to read the text AND study the illustrations/photos. They all provide
important information.
• The beads added in the current step are colored brightly. Beads from previous
steps are faded.
• The beginning of the thread path is marked with a dot. Follow the thread from
the dot to the arrow. Work with a comfortable length and leave a tail of 10 -12
cm / 5-6 inches that you’ll secure and trim later.
The type of thread I used to stitch the project is stated in the material list. You
can try switching to a different kind of thread, however, it may not be possible
• to finish the project, or it will provide a different finish. The jewel might be
floppier in case of thinner thread, or it might not be possible to make enough
thread path if you use a thicker one.
About this project
• Size of the motif: 2.5 x 5 cm / 0.98 x 1.97 inch
• I strongly recommend using #12 Tulip beading needle, as you will need to pass
through the beads of the bezel multiple times.
• Try connecting more motifs together to create a bracelet. You can also add
charms or drops, and sew it on a filigree to make a brooch.
• You can add a pendant holder to the middle of the motif or connect a chain to
the sides either by sewing it to the beads or using jump rings.
• You can also find a coloring sheet to try different color combinations before
you start to bead, or just have a relaxing time with coloring.
