BUTYL ACETATE
DESCRIPTION:
Butyl acetate is a colorless solvent with moderately volatile, with excellent solvency for
cellulose nitrate, polymers, resins and oils. Its linear structure contributes to effective
viscosity reduction and improves solvent dilution from coating films. Its fruity ester odor
characteristics are significantly more favourable than other solvents of similar volatility.
FEATURES:
Freely miscible with all common organic solvents such as alcohols,
Solubility/ : ketones, glycols, aldehydes, aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons,
Miscibility ethers and esters;
Limited solubility in water
Evaporating : Medium, it is general reference material for evaporation
Hygroscopic : Low
Flammability : Flammable
High electrical resistivity is an advantage in formulating high-solids
