No 10/N. H. 03-03/2025 K 7244 As per the notification issued by Govt of India, Dept of Home Affairs no
20-25-56/Festive-1 dated 08/06/1957 under the Central Govt Negotiable Instrument Act 1881, section
25 as per Schedule-I will be observed as public holiday during year 2026.
2. In Schedule 2 General holidays are mentioned on which all govt offices and revenue offices will
remain closed in year 2026.
3. As per the notification issued by Govt of India, Dept of Finance, Economics work Department
Semi govt Letter No-41/2/98 B.O. II Dated 09.08.2002 and letter – 1/22/2012-B.O.-II Dated
09.01.2013 under the Central Govt Negotiable Instrument Act 1881, section 25 as per Schedule
-III Bank closing day.
Note: - ⅰ. The dates of holidays fixed for Muslim festivals are subject to change depending
on the sighting of the moon.
ii. The five-day working week system in the Secretariat and attached offices under
the State Government and the six-day working week system in the regional offices
will remain in force as before.
iii. Annual closure of bank accounts mentioned in Schedule-3 will not be applicable
to Government establishments/offices.
