Subject: Implementation of the “Compost Pit Project” in Support of the
Search for the Eco-Friendly School
Dear Sir:
Warm greetings of peace and environmental awareness!
In line with our school’s advocacy to maintain learning environments that are
responsive to community and environmental contexts, we are pleased to inform
you of the implementation of the Compost Pit Project in support of the evaluation
of Search for the Eco-Friendly School to be held on October 9, 2024.
This initiative aims to promote proper waste management and environmental
stewardship among learners by converting biodegradable waste such as dried
leaves, food scraps, and other organic materials into compost. The produced
compost will be used to enrich the soil in the school’s garden and greening
areas, contributing to the school’s sustainability efforts.
The project is collaboratively implemented by Mrs. Michelle V. Fernandez, 12
ABM Adviser and Project Coordinator; Mr. Artemio Obalde, PTA President; and
Mrs. Rosalina P. Batalla, Head Teacher III. Through this partnership, the school
community strengthens its commitment to fostering environmental responsibility
and community participation within the learning environment. This project
underscores the school’s continuous effort to integrate environmental education
and community involvement into our learners’ experiences, making our school
not only a center for academic excellence but also a model of environmental
consciousness.

and sustainable learning community.
