This is useful for job delegations and organizations. Personality, core value and skills are the principle determinants of effective leadership. Values/Character- Honest, upright and fairthat is, free from deceit or fraud. Decides & Instructs with fairness. Considered a very important character of a leader.
Characteristics in detail:
The key leadership behavior of the Vice Governor is the understanding of staff behavior and motivation. Eg. When staff make mistakes, rather than berating and embarrassing them, he provides proper guidance and support. This has a great impact on the work environments and is a strong point. U Then Nyein is considered a good leader by all the staff dealing with him on a daily basis. They have high esteem because of his understanding, sympathy and the decency that he behaves with them. His kindness and the sense of fair-play is highly appreciated.
Characteristics in detail:
Goal Attainment - Provides good directions toward the organization's goal. For example, some of his directions pointed out the difference between weakness and failure, and excellence and success, to develop the organization in good image. This is the influence function of leadership and deals with those mechanisms that motivate members' behaviors towards achievement of the organization's goals such as to stable and develop the whole financial sector and to achieve overall economic development.
Characteristics in detail:
Normative Process- Most staffs hold a set of expectations, as to how our leader should behave, including clear communication skills and honesty, while dealing with them on a daily basis. Staff evaluation of this leader's effectiveness, in terms of how well the leader meets this set of role expectations, has shown that U Then Nyein has fulfilled these most of the time.
Characteristics in detail:
Attributions about followers reactions to the leaders behavior at the workplace, and workplace relationships. Examples include emotional outbursts (may be due to guilt, shame, gratitude) when someone else controls the outcome/ takes the credit. U Then Nyein has shown high emotional maturity in dealing with the staff. He meets emergencies with poise and controls his temper, and is supportive wherever required; provides opportunities to build confidence.
Characteristics in detail:
A mental model is an explanation of someone's thought process while dealing with the progress of change and the ability to make adjustments in line with the changes. We have seen the Vice Governors leadership capacity which has helped shape approaches to solving problems and doing tasks; he is a man who keeps a proper tab on the process of change and keeps all his staff in the loop about the effects these changes can have and helps them adjust with emotional support.
Characteristics in detail:
U Then Nyein, ultimately, is a human being, and does indeed have some flaws. Weak points include random decisions on work allotment, delayed decisions and allowing staff too much freedom
