Definition Question Words


Information Questions (Wh-question and How) is a question
that asks information using Question Words (word mark). Often
referred to Wh-question because all words starting with Whquestion, but How. Which includes Question Words (QW) is:
What, Who,Why, Where, When, Which and How.
The general pattern:
QW + aux + S + verb + Object/Complement ?
Information Question (Wh-question dan How) Adalah
pertanyaan yang menanyakan informasi dengan
menggunakan Question Words (kata tanya). Sering disebut
dengan Wh-question karena semua kata tanya diawali dengan
Wh-, kecuali How. Yang termasuk Question Words (QW) adalah:
What, Who, Why, Where, When, Which dan How.

A). WHEN
When is used to ask questions about time.
Ex : when the atom is found the first time?

B). WHERE
Where is use to ask questions about place.
Ex : Where is she chemistry lab?

C). WHY
Why is used to ask questions about reason.
Ex : why water is said polar solution?

D). HOW
How generally ask about manner.
Ex : how do you make a solution of ester?

E). WHO
a) Who is used ask the subject of a question.It refers to people.
b) Who is ussually followed by a singular verb even if the speaker is
asking about
more than one person.
Ex : who is doing the chemical kinematics experiments

F). WHOM
Whom is used ask the object of a verb or preposition.
Ex : Whom should you chemistry experiment with?

G). WHOSE
Whose asks question about possestion.
Ex : Whose erlemenyer did you borrow for experiment?

H). WHAT
What is used as the subject of a question.It refers to things.
Ex : What kind of substance is that?

I). WHICH
Which is used instead of what when a question coccerns choosing from
definite
,known quantity or group.
Ex : Which solution would you analyst?

A yes / no question = a question that may be answered by yes or
no.
ex > Does the water is polar?
answer : Yes,it does.
> Does the oil is polar?
answer : no,it doesnt.

NEGATIVE QUESTIONS
