Sometimes called the Net- is a
worldwide system of computer
networks.
It enables you to require a file or

an IP (Internet Protocol) address is the number
that uniquely identifies each computer on the
Internet
Domain Name Server (DNS) : a host computer
that coordinates the IP addresses and the domain
names for all computers it is responsible to

domain.

and .pro
Others: .asia, .aero,.coop, .jobs, .mobi, .museum, and
.travel.

documents on the Internet.

pages.
Hyperlinks:
A string of clickable text or a clickable
graphic that points to another Web page
or document.

read email, and read newsgroups,

HyperText Markup Language; the
programming language in which most
Web pages are written.

Portal provide access to other Web

Advocacy describes a cause,
opinion, or idea. These web sites
usually present views of a particular
group or association.
