Objectives:
• To identify the effect of the following terms in the
performance of the bridge.
Physical Structure
Traffic and Load Capacity
•To determine the possible reasons for the bridge
failure based on its present condition.
•To identify the possible ways of improving the
performance of the bridge.
The significance and scope of the
study.
The study is significant to avoid the possible reasons of
bridge failures that can result into a major inconvenience
in the future. The study will focus on the three bridges
under the Palico-Balayan-Batangas Road which is the
Lagnas,Hagonoy and Manghinao Bridge.

The researchers used the Descriptive Method in
acquiring the necessary data since it is suitable
because it involves the gathering of information
about the present conditions and the description
of the nature of a situation as it exists at the time
of the study.

Conclusion
The Lagnas Bridge is in fair condition with a remaining life span of 10 years,
The hagonoy is in poor condition with a life span of 2 years and the
Manghinao Bridge with a good condition and 50 years remaining life span.
Recommendation
1. Conducting of bridge inspection semi-annually.
2. Complying with the posted load limit.
3. Installation of light posts.
4. Maintaining the cleanliness around the area of the
bridge
