BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF IOS

• iOS is a mobile operating system, developed by Apple Inc. for iPhone, iPad, and iPod
Touch. Updates for iOS are released through the iTunes software and, since iOS 5, via
over-the-air software updates.Its programmed using the ‘swift‘ programming language
• Major new iOS releases are announced yearly during the Apple Worldwide Developers
Conference (WWDC), and are usually released in September of the same year, usually
coinciding with the release of new iPhone models. The most recent stable release, iOS
12.4, was released on July 22, 2019. On June 3, 2019 at WWDC, Apple announced iOS
13 and iPad OS for the iPads

• iOS software is a very secure software. Apple has taken immense measures to
make sure an apple device users data is secure to himself and that it cannot be
hacked easily.

• Touch ID (biometric log in)
• Face ID (Face unlock)

SIRI THE IOS VOICE ASSISTANT

• Siri is a VUI (voice user interface) made by apple for voice commands.This VUI
can do a number of tasks when we ask for it for example setting an alarm we say
‘siri set an alarm for 9am‘. This alarm will be set and doing it through Siri gives a
less hands on experience.
• Siri was the generations first artificial intelligence VUI made in 2011 and was a
well running software until it came up to competition with Amazon’s Alexa and
google assistant.
• According to surveys people prefer Siri over google assistant.
WHICH IS BETTER ANDROID OR IOS

• Both softwares are equally Good. Depending on speed, apple beats android as it
is a more stable software. This is because IOS devices are only useable in
iPhones,iPads and iPods therefore the scope for problem solving is easier as the
devices are only 3 of the type.
• The latest iPhones fitted with 4gb of ram and the latest Samsung phone with 12gb.
But due to software perks, apple performs better than Samsung in related
benchmark tests.
• Only downfall of iOS is that the prices are too expensive,considering the cheapest
iPhone being Rs.56500 and cheapest Samsung being Rs.5000 irrespective of
specifications.
