What is Cyber Bullying?
 Cyberbullying is bullying that takes place over digital
devices like cell phones, computers, and tablets.

 Cyberbullying can occur through SMS, Text, and apps,


or online in social media, forums, or gaming where
people can view, participate in, or share content.

 Cyberbullying is when a student use the internet, cell


phones, or other technological devices to send or post
text or images intended to hurt, embarrass, threaten,
torment, humiliate, or intimidate their victim.
Cyberbullying Tactics
 Posting comments or rumors that are mean, hurtful,
or embarrassing.
 Threatening to hurt someone or telling them to kill
themselves.
 Posting a mean or hurtful picture or video.
 Pretending to be someone else online or post
personal or false information about someone else.
 Posting mean or hateful names, comments, or other
personal characteristics online.
 Creating a mean or hurtful webpage about
someone.
 Doxing
Who are Cyber Bullies?
 Most Cyber bullying simply occurs because it’s
“cool”.
 In most cases bullies make this act in order to
be accepted in a group of friends(gang)

 Don’t talk to strangers online.
 Do not forward any messages, comments, etc. that involve
cyberbullying
 Sign out when you go on something else
 NEVER respond or retaliate! Try to ignore it.
 Stop, block and tell - don’t reply, block the sender, tell
someone.
 Save any information and print, so that someone can help
you.
