Understanding Simple Past Tense

The document discusses the simple past tense in English. It explains that there are two types of past tense verbs: regular verbs and irregular verbs. Regular verbs form the past tense by adding "-ed" to the simple form. Irregular verbs have varying forms like vowel changes or remain the same from the simple to past form. The key points are that regular verbs follow a consistent pattern of adding "-ed" while irregular verbs must be memorized due to their unpredictable past tense forms.

Regular verbs are verbs that…
end with –ed.
