What is a
surface mount
resistor?
Surface Mount Resistor
A surface mount resistor is an electronic
device that is mounted on the surface of the
printed circuit board. The SMD (surface
mount device) resistor value is printed on top
of its body.
How to read the

101 = 100 Ohms
164 =160000 Ohms or 160 Kilo Ohms
1001 = 1000 Ohms or 1Kilo Ohms
1003 = 100,000 Ohms or 100 Kilo

2000 = 200 Ohms
1004 = 1000000 Ohms or 1 Mega Ohms
What is SMD
Network
Resistor?
SMD Network Resistor is actually
consisting of few resistors that have
same ohms value in a single package.
The SMD network resistor coding is the
same as the SMD resistor coding.
