 introduction
 This slideshow is mainly about the gaming
consoles ever sold since the first generation of the
gaming consoles until now.This slideshow will also
include the ‘in progress’ consoles and also ‘maybe
in progress’ console.This slideshow will only show
you the ones I’ve played only because there’s too
much video games console.Besides that,this
slideshow will also show the games I love,I
hate,type of games I prefer and description of
some games I love or I hate.
What is Gaming Console:
 Gaming console is a system device
produce video display signal by a display
device(tv,monitor etc) to display video
game.Gaming consoles were divided into
few generations since 1972.But,video
games were ‘borned’ since late 1940s.The
first video game were in cathode-ray tube
based missile defense system.It was quite
interesting to play the game even though
it’s graphic isn’t that good.
 Generations
 1st Generation:1972-1977
 2nd generation(early 8-bit era):1976-1984
 3rd generation(early 16-bit era):1983–
1992
 4th generation(16-bit era):1987–1996
 5th generation(32-bit era):1993–2006
 6th generation(128-bit era):1998–current
 7th generation(3D era):2005–current
 SNES
 A 16-bit video game console released
on 1990.This console was a success
when it was sold by 300,000 units in a
few hours after it was released.This
console was also involved in one of the
fiercest console war between Nintendo
and Sega,the leading brand in video
games.
 Gameboy
 Gameboy is a console made by
Nintendo.This console was released on
1989.It was a success when Nintendo
managed to sell Gameboy and
Gameboy Color combined more than
118 million units worldwide.Gameboy
has four versions which is the ‘original
version’,’1995’ version,Gameboy Pocket
and Gameboy Light.
 Gameboy Color
 Successor to the Gameboy.This console
released on 1998.It has color screens
and a bit thicker than Gameboy.This
console uses the Zilog Z80 processor,an
8-bit processor same as its
predecessor,Gameboy.Its best-selling
game is Pokemon Gold and Silver.
 Gameboy Advance
 The successor to the successful
Gameboy Color.This console was
upgraded and the minor bugs at
Gameboy Color was repaired by
Nintendo.It was released on 2001,3
years after Gameboy Color.This console
have 3 versions which is the Gameboy
Advance,Gameboy Advance SP and
Gameboy Micro.
 NDS
 Another console made by Nintendo.This
console has two separate screens,the
lower is a LCD touch-screen while the
upper is a normal LCD screen.This
console was an upgraded and remodelled
version of Gameboy Advance SP.It has 5
versions which is Nintendo DS,Nintendo
DS Lite,Nintendo Dsi,Nintendo DSi XL
and the current version,Nintendo 3DS.
 PSP
 The ultimate rival to Nintendo DS series.This
console was released on 2004.It is the first console
ever to use optical disk format,the UMD.There is 5
versions of PSP which is PSP-1000,PSP-2000 or
known as PSP Slim N’ Lite,PSP-3000,PSP Go and
the future version,the NGP or formerly known as
PSP2.The best-selling game for this console is
Monster Hunter Portable 3rd,released end of last
year with 4 million UMD’s sold.This console is
another huge success when Sony managed to sell
more than 67 million units worldwide.
 Wii
 The rival to Sony’s PS3 and Window’s
X360. Wii is sold more than PS3 or
X360.This console was released on
2006.It was known as the smallest home-
type console in the world.Wii Remote is
mainly used to play Wii.The other main
controller is Wii Nunchuk.It is said that the
legacy of Wii will be carried on by the ‘in-
progress’ Wii HD.This console were sold
more than 80 million units.
 PS3
• The rival to X360 and Wii.PS3 is sold less than Wii
and X360 because of its extravagant price which is
more than RM1500 for the normal version.Even
though PS3’s graphic is excellent,some gamers
complained.They stated that it was not worth
it.But,the CEO of Sony stated that this console will
make profit by 2010.Even though PS3 has lots of
cons,it has it pros too.Sony stated that the ‘Cloud’
will be connected to PS3.PS3 was sold more than
50 million units worldwide.
 X360
 The rival to PS3 and Wii.X360 or known
as Xbox 360 was released a year earlier
than Wii and PS3.This console was sold
more than 51 million units worldwide.The
console is also famous because of its
variety of technical problems.The most
famous problem is the 3 lights X360’s ring
indicator also known as ‘The Red Ring Of
Death’.It requires the owner to repair the
console itself or the power adapter .
 NGP
 NGP(Next Generation Portable) or formerly known
as PSP2 is the successor to PSP series.This
console was unveiled by the CEO of Sony early of
this year.This console was planned to be sold on
the fourth quarter of this year.There were a lot of
rumours about the PSP2 since 2009.Several
games were announced for the device such as
Uncharted,Monster Hunter series,Little Big Planet
and many more.The CEO of Sony stated that this
console is the ‘perfect’ form of handheld video
game console and this consoleve is completely
flawless.This console had been stated to be able
to play PS 1 games.

Why I love this game(s):
 Monster Hunter series:
 It is an interesting game.Capcom have
made an excellent job making the
game.Their graphic lab have also
achieved a sky-high achievement.This
game is one of the most-sold games
from Capcom.This game is a RPG all
about a hunter killing some monsters.
Why I hate this game:
 Pac-Man:
 For me,this game doesn’t have any
purpose nor mission.Its graphic sucks
and the creator seems like running out
of idea when they made this game
because this game is TOO DAMN
BORED!!!
