BACKGROUND
1. With an increasing human influence over the planet while competing
within, the human mankind has achieved various scientific, technological
breakthrough in Research, Construction, Automobile, Space technology,
Communication and several other fields.
2. But in the long run of our development and getting superior day by day, the
environment has paid off a heavy price and thus affected it throughout the
planet earth.
3. Thus with a vision to protect and save our environment we need to have
ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION.
AIM
TO UNDERSTAND ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION
ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES
It is a process by which people develop awareness,
concern and knowledge of the environment and learn to use
this understanding to preserve, conserve and utilizes the
environment in a sustainable manner for the benefit of the
present and future generations.
IMPORTANCE OF ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES
1. Increases student engagement in science.
2. Improves student achievement in core subject area.
3. Provides critical tools for 21st century workforce.
4. Helps address “ nature deficit disorder”.
GOALS OF ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION
1. To improve quality of Environment.
2. To create awareness among people on Environmental problems
and conservation.
3. To create an atmosphere so that people participate in deduction
making and develop the capabilities to evaluate the
environmental programs.

CONCLUSION
IT IS VERY MUCH IMPORTANT TO STUDY OUR ENVIRONMENT
TO UNDERSTAND ITS IMPORTANCE, AND THUS IN TURN TAKE
MEASURES TO SAVE ENVIRONMENT FROM ITS DEPLETION TO
SAVE OUR PRESENT AND FUTURE GENERATIONS.
