Mirror Reflection Experiments Guide

The document provides instructions for several optics experiments involving mirrors and lenses. It describes how to trace a star shape using a plane mirror, then complete a table observing the image of one's face using plane, concave, and convex mirrors. Another activity instructs using different types of mirrors to determine if the subject is lost (L-O-S-T) after reflection based on the image's location, orientation, size, and type. Key concepts covered include specular and diffuse reflection, and the location, orientation, size and type of images formed by curved mirrors.

MATERIALS

Two Colored pen

Short bond paper
Focus
PROCEDURE:
 In a short bond paper draw a star through
broken lines.
 Trace the star using different color of
your pen. In tracing, do not directly look
at the star instead, use a plane mirror to
trace the broken star.

 Concave Mirror
 Convex Mirror
 Big notebook
PROCEDURE:

Observe the image of your face in a plane

mirror. Let the other members hold the mirror
about aa20 cm away from your face, closer to
your face, and then farther away from your
face. Repeat the whole procedure using a
concave mirror and a convex mirror
