PRISM
• PRISM is a polyhedron with exactly two faces
that are
congruent and parallel. These faces are called
bases. Other faces are called lateral faces.
Examples of prisms are cube or square prism,
Cuboid or rectangular prism, triangular prism,
pentagonal prism, hexagonal prism, etc.
EXAMPLES OF PRISM
cube or square prism Triangular Prism Pentagonal Prism
Hexagonal Prism Octagonal Prism
PYRAMID
• PYRAMID is a polyhedron has one base, can be
any polygon. The other faces are all triangles
which are also called lateral faces. All lateral
faces meet at a common vertex called apex. The
name of the pyramid depends on the shape of
the base .Examples are square pyramid, rectangular
pyramid,pentagonal pyramid, hexagonal pyramid, etc.
EXAMPLES OF PYRAMID
Triangular Pyramid Rectangular Pyramid Pentagonal Pyramid
Hexagonal Pyramid Octagonal Pyramid
CURVED FIGURES
CURVED FIGURES these solid
figures are not polyhedrons. They
have curved surfaces unlike
polyhedron that are flat faces. These
are Cylinder, Cone and Sphere.
