OTHER DASHAS
As per rishi parashara there are 32 type of dashas but Vimshottari dasa is the most important and applicable to all kind
of humans
Astottari,shodsottari, dwadasottari, panchottari,shatabdika, chaturashiti sama dasaha, dwisaptati sama dasha,
shastihayani, shattrishanta sama dasa,kala dasa, char, sthir,kendra,karaka and brahmagraha, school, yogardha, driga,
trikona and rashi dashas are there. Panchswara,yogini,pinda,amsa,nasargie,ashtavarga dasha,pachaka and other tara
dashas are there
Rahu is in the kendra or trikona other than lagna from
the lagna lord then astottari dasha is also applicable.
Except ketu all the planets are covered in this system

ASTOTTARI
DASAHA Mars- 8 years Mercury- 17 years Saturn- 10 years
Jupiter- 19 Rahu- 12 Venus- 21 years
Its mainly used in Eastern and North eastern part of the country
But most of the astrologers are of this view that in kalyuga
vimshottari dasha is more applicable.
If the native is born in night in Shukla paksha and if he is born
in Krishna paksha in day time then asttotari dasha system should
be applied.
The difference between VD and Ad system is that in vimshottari
the nakshatra are allotted in planetary order such as Kritika is
ruled by sun,rohini is rules by moon and mrigshira to mars while
in Astottari dasha system malefic are allotted four nakshtras and
benefic get three nakshtra and the period is equally distributed.
SHODSHOTTARI DASHA
If the lagna lord is in moon hora in Krishna paksha or in sun’s hora in
Shukla paksha , shodshottari dasha is applicable
