What is Cloud Computing?

Images Cloud computing is a technology that allows users to

access and utilize computing resources, such as data storage,
software applications, and processing power, over the internet.
This eliminates the need for individuals or businesses to maintain
their own hardware and infrastructure, making it a flexible and
cost-effective solution.

Advantages:

• Collaboration
• Scalability
• Security
How Does it Work?

Cloud computing works by allowing users to access computing resources, such as data storage, processing
power, and software applications, over the internet. When a user requests a service or data, the cloud
provider delivers it seamlessly, enabling the user to access and utilize the resources without the need to
manage the underlying infrastructure.
The process typically involves three key steps:
1.Request The user makes a request from front end for a specific service
or data from the cloud provider, which is generally backend.

2.Cloud ProviderThe cloud provider, which maintains the physical

infrastructure and computing resources, processes the
request and delivers the requested service or data to the
user.
3.Access The user can then access and utilize the service or data
provided by the cloud, without the need to maintain their
own hardware or software infrastructure.

This seamless integration of computing resources, combined with the ability to scale
up or down as needed, is what makes cloud computing a powerful and efficient
technology for individuals and organizations of all sizes.
Cloud Storage Service Providers
The cloud storage market is dominated by several major players, each offering a range of services
and features to meet the needs of individuals and businesses. Some of the top cloud storage
service providers include:

Amazon Web Services (AWS): A Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Google's

services. Microsoft Azure: Microsoft's cloud computing
service, which includes OneDrive for cloud
storage and a range of other cloud-based
tools and services. Azure is a popular choice
for businesses already using Microsoft's
software and services.
In addition to these major providers, there are also several other cloud storage options
available, such as Dropbox, zipcloud, icloud,Google drive which offers personal and business
file storage solutions.

Access
Access
 Once your data is in the cloud, you can access it from
any internet-connected device, whether that's your
home computer, your work laptop, or your smartphone
on the go. This flexibility allows you to stay productive
and connected to your important files wherever you
are.
Sharing Files in the Cloud
Collaboration
Cloud-based file sharing enables seamless collaboration, allowing
multiple team members to work together on documents,
spreadsheets, presentations, and other files in real-time. Users can
view edits, make comments, and track changes

Sharing
Sharing files stored in the cloud is quick and easy. You can send
shareable links to colleagues, clients, or partners, granting them
access to view, edit, or download the files. Cloud storage providers
offer robust permission controls so you can control who has access to
your sensitive information.
Accessibility
With cloud file sharing, you can access your important files from
any internet-connected device - your laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
This flexibility allows you to stay productive and informed, whether
you're in the office, working remotely, or on the go.

Version Control
Cloud storage services typically offer version history and rollback
capabilities, so you can easily revert to previous iterations of a file if
needed. This ensures your team always has access to the most up-to-
date information and protects against accidental deletions or overwrites.
