BUDESONIDE (Inhaled Corticosteroid (ICS))
• Inhibits the production of inflammatory chemicals which results in reduce Cough,
Wheezing & Bronchospasm (narrowing of bronchi).
FORMOTEROL long-acting β2-adrenergic agonist (LABA)
• Binds to smooth muscle cells of lungs and causes Bronchodilation (relaxation of airway
smooth muscle).
• Also, reduces airway inflammation.
GINA & GOLD 2024, guidelines recommends BUDESONIDE + FORMOTEROL as choice of treatment for Asthma
