Symptoms include unilateral pain, discharge, fever, and dysuria, with risk factors such as a history of STIs and being uncircumcised. Treatment involves antibiotics like ceftriaxone and doxycycline, along with nursing management strategies to alleviate discomfort and prevent complications.
