ELECTRICAL ENERGY
CONSERVATION
INTRODUCTION
Saving energy is critical to reducing your carbon footprint, lowering your
electricity bill and preserving resources for future generations. In the current
era of sustainability, the prudent use of electrical energy is a crucial concern.
College campuses, being hubs of learning and innovation, play a significant role
in promoting energy conservation practices. This presentation focuses on
implementing strategies to conserve electrical energy within college settings.

Problem
Identification:-
College campuses often exhibit waste of energy due to factors like:
o Inefficients lighting, equipment usage,
o lack of awareness about energy conservation practices.
This leads to increased operational costs and environmental impact.
Scope:-
The project aims to identify opportunities for energy conservation, raise
awareness among students, faculty and supporting staff and analyze data to
measure the impact of implemented measures.
Objectives:-
• Implementing strategies to reduce energy wastage.
• Educating students on the importance of energy
conservation.
• Analyzing data to evaluate the effectiveness of energy-
saving measures.
Methodology:-
• Prepare posters and animations for awareness
• Implementing energy-efficient technologies such as LED lighting, smart
sensors, and power-saving devices.
• Organizing workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns to educate
students about energy conservation.
• Monitoring energy usage data before and after the implementation of
energy-saving measures.
Awareness among
students:-
• Conducting workshops on energy
conservation.
• Organizing competitions or events related to
energy-saving ideas.
• Distributing informational pamphlets and
posters around the campus.
• Involving students in energy-saving initiatives
and projects.
ENERGY SAVING
HABITS
Implementing simple habits can make a big
difference in energy savings:
• Turn off lights and equipment when not in use.
• Unplug chargers and unused devices.
• Use a power strip to easily turn off multiple
devices.
• Wash all laundry and dishes to maximize
efficiency.

Conclusion:-
In conclusion, promoting electrical energy conservation within
college campuses is vital for sustainability and cost reduction. By
implementing energy-saving measures, raising awareness among
students, and analyzing data, colleges can significantly contribute to
a greener future. This project serves as a model for fostering a
culture of energy efficiency and environmental responsibility in
educational institutions.
