PROJECT RATIONALE:

Our project, "Reusing Every Thing,

Rethinking Every Approach to Trash," Arises
from a critical global issue: the ever-
growing problem of waste. We believe that
a fundamental change is needed in how we
view and manage trash. Instead of simply
discarding unwanted materials, we must
embrace a culture of reuse and rethink our
entire approach to waste.

DEVELOPMENTAL GOAL

At the end of the project implementation, the

community of Dangcagan National High School
will create a tangible and inspiring showcase
of how "trash" can be repurposed into
"treasure."
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Get ready to unleash your creativity and
transform trash into treasure! This project
challenges students to rethink the potential of
discarded materials and create unique,
marketable products from recycled and up-
cycled items. From discarded plastic bottles to
old newspapers, students will learn to see the
hidden value in everyday waste and use their
imagination to create something beautiful and
functional.
PROJECT COMPONENT
The Retreat Project has the following
components:

1. Trash to treasure challenge

2. Treasure market and sales
3. Community engagement
PROJECT OBJECTIVE
The purpose of the project is to:

1. To engage students in the creative process of up-

cycling waste materials into valuable products.
2. To provide a platform for students to showcase and
sell their up-cycled creations, generating funds for
school projects.
3. To educate students about the environmental and
social impacts of waste and promote sustainable
practices.
4. To extend the projects reach and impact beyond the
school community.
IMPLEMENTATION
This project 'Trash to Treasure' aims to transform
SCHEME
discarded materials into valuable products,
empowering communities to reduce waste, promote
environmental awareness, and build a sustainable
future. Through waste collection, up-cycling
workshops, product creation, and community
engagement, our 'Trash to Treasure' project
empowers residents to transform discarded
materials into valuable products, while promoting
environmental awareness and building a
sustainable future.
PROJECT FEASIBILITY
A 'Trash to Treasure' project holds significant
potential for community engagement, waste
reduction, and economic development. However,
feasibility hinges on securing adequate resources,
establishing effective partnerships, and overcoming
logistical challenges related to waste collection,
material processing, and product marketing. The
success of a 'Trash to Treasure' project depends
heavily on community support, volunteer
participation, and access to resources such as
collection points, workshops spaces, and marketing
MONITORING AND
EVALUATION
The proponent monitoring and evaluate
through tracking waste diversion rates,
recycling rates, community participation,
and environmental impact, while
assessing the project's economic
sustainability and long-term viability.
PROJECT SUSTAINABILITY
Through engaging initiatives like recycling
programs, up-cycling workshops, and
awareness campaigns, we will empower
individuals to rethink their relationship with
waste and adopt more responsible behaviors.
This project not only aims to reduce waste but
also promote innovation and community
involvement contributing to a cleaner and
more sustainable environment.
