Start with one card and build your story around it.

He found a scroll, quite MAGICAL indeed,
A "Happy Ever After" was guaranteed!

Play more than one card in your turn by matching the left color arrow of subsequent cards to the previous one.

He brewed a POTION, the plan went astray,
Mixed in a boot, then drank it straight away.

Discover 6 Story Card types (Character, Trait, Item, Action, Event, Place), each marked by an icon and a top right-side colour banner. Also, watch out for Special cards, identified by a top left-side banner.

He started to TRANSFORM, oh what a sight!
Poof! Chicken feathers, fluffy and white!

This Action type card is a Story Card with an added 'Overwrite' power, letting you rewrite a piece of the narrative.

Gorg hated feathers, so he went on a QUEST,
To change back his form, he would do his best!

On your turn, play up to 3 cards to expand the story already in progress.

Tired Chicken Gorg reached the MAGE TOWER,
Where wizards had wisdom and power.

Winning requires fulfilling an Ending. This Special card type let's you choose a new Ending Card.

He looked at his feathers, feeling quite grim,
His FOOLISH mistake was clear now to him.

Play Wild Special cards anytime, and choose whether or not to activate their ability.

With Wizard’s Zap The Orc is back! So he jumps in laughter,
As The Potion after all that, led him to Happy Ever After!

This is the Ending Card. To win, you must first ensure the played Story contains 3 of the 4 Story Card types shown on this card, empty your hand, and then play this card as your final action. The winner gets to finish the Story!
