Oh my, it's been a while since I checked in on the game, I believe .10 was the last time, but congratulations on finishing the game! That's some what rare to see in the community, especially one as long as this one.
This game has made really happy, each update got me a lot of laughs and sometimes tears. I vibed a lot with many of the characters, it always felt fresh and dynamic. You were amazing Zenthicks, I won't forget you as long as I live. (Looking forward to your next projects :3)
I'm sad to see it end for real. I've been playing when you update for at least a year or two, it was always fun to see it show up again! And you're already talking about a new game I hear, I'll probably be checking it out.
But I'm also happy to see it actually finish! So many somewhat similar games just kinda stop and you don't get to see the whole vision for the game.
You had so many good ideas and characters, I'm glad to see them come to a real conclusion. The main plot at least. I suppose there's room for more in this story, but if you want to leave it here it makes perfect sense too, I have to imagine it's good for most of them ha
Most of the characters all got some real use out of what they've been developing over time too, for the final act in a serious situation at the time, but still in line with the kinda funny or even just fetish stuff that lead them up to there.
I'm not going to say much more here, I may or may not post later to the 1.0 update page specifically but I don't want to post any kinda spoiler here.
I capped out at about 52 hours, I did a lot of talking to inanimate objects or going the wrong way looking for secrets in my playthrough. I found a couple, can't say I've found em all. Later half I could talk to more of them, I like that. I doubt it was for me, maybe a lot of people were asking for that content ha. And I'm glad Alex played a role eventually, I was wondering about that
I think I'm gonna do a full new playthrough soon. I remember the first time I played there was already a big chunk of content, but probably under half what there ended up being. I'll kinda miss seeing holiday or current event themes lining up with when they dropped in real life, but I'll like seeing it all and remembering it much better when I can play it as a seamless experience.
Anyway what I'm trying to say at the basis is, I loved your game!
no clue if anyone really going to care about the comment, but I'll say this. Even though I was a pussy and played with a cheater to keep me topped up on health, money, and items, I greatly enjoyed the game. There definitely a lot of things that had gone into it over the years, and I'm glad to have kept up with it enough to have seen the end of it.
I haven't read/listened to The Count of Monte Cristo, but I believe that Apocalypse XL is extremely comparable to that, as in written over many years, very complex story wise, and is absolutely certain to leave its impact on....well anyone who take the time and effort to fully go through it. It's certainly have left its impact on me, especially given how it had formed some of my adventure fantasies. Like the time where instead of entering the multiverse, they instead head off into a tower that appeared out of nowhere, one of them basically made it to the top, get the tower master to reverse time kinda, which soon lead to a persona game kinda of thing where a new group of people went off to prevent a repeat of what happened.
Obviously, this included a self insert OC who if I'm remembering correctly, blew up a city because his mutation was an angel arm for some reason, cut off said arm, managed to survive both to determination and sheer luck, and knew the meta plot of both the game and the tower that they ended up fleeing into. He is even a main character in the persona, acting as one of the main characters phantom thieving it up to prevent the end.
This was thought up several years ago when at best, I think the road trip was just getting started. Either way, it's how my brain sometimes work where it just imagine things. Currently just repeating the same plot points of a cult of a lamb story that I for some god damn reason can not put to actually writing, and a guy who is basically an immortal(infinite clones) who was created by Unique Precursors to basically watch over a pet project that is humanity. Also getting into wacky space adventurer with a friend.
The latest scene I thought about was them both facing death. Like actual literal death for both of them. The mortal friend obviously asked the immortal clone friend what death like, and he said that he doesn't know. That he had scanned through everything the Precursors had left behind, and while they were able to describe everything leading up to death, they skip to the part where they come back. A race so powerful that they could shape the universe however they wanted, and could infinitely cheat death, can not describe what death is. That the only record he had is that Death is something that no body who experienced it can say. They can not say what Death is like, they can not record it for others to read about later, they can't even remember what Death is like. Only when they're dead, would they know if they experienced it before or something like that.
Anyhow, so yeah if you couldn't tell, I grew up with an active imagination that constantly stole the parts of media that I like/consume and constructed a whole lot of different stories that I have certainly forgotten about over the years. I think the first was an avatar sort of deal, and the other was based on a cyoa that was really interest.
Anyway, sorry to completely ramble and derail the whole thing, just going to say great game. Absolutely curious about who/what Someone truly is, who/what is Something, and glad to see evil Keith stopped from invading the multiverse, even if it hampered communications efforts with everyone. But I'm glad to know Amber and Rachel was able to find each other again all because of one tag.
Edit: I can only blame myself for being up super late and letting the emotions goes over me that I spill a lot of things about myself, and mixed up Janet with Rachel. That is my fault, and can only promise not to mix the two up in the future
Here is the link in which a posted a bunch of persona stuff in the comments(If you find one where the persona is Dracula, that's mine. Saved it from the super comment thread that got nuked a while back)
I felt like the ending could have used a bit more buildup. It felt rather quick, with a lot of stuff happening really quickly without giving time for it to fully settle in. I think some minor hijinks before the main event would have really improved things, like maybe setting up the fair, or helping the EAC move Jen. Maybe with the credits showing where the others ended up, something like that.
However, that is the *only* real critisim I have for this game. It was incredibly funny, erotic, and shockingly in depth both story and setting wise. I was completely hooked, and had fallen in love with all of the characters. Some moments actually had me teared up, especially with Wires. Fantastic representation all throughout, great art, and top-tier writing. Came for the fetish content, stayed for the story. I hope we see some bonus content for Apocalypse XL, but if not, I wish you luck on your next venture.
Amazing ending even though a little quick, like with all dialogues it took me like 1:30 tops (current update i.e.) whole game took me much more but it was due to side quest and grinding like plushies from hook machine and fishes, etc. Wish we could see bits of others worlds though, maybe Jen getting actual help to help her move as massive snake queen, such as some kind of steroids or mutagens. Anyway, I wish you luck with your next project Cascadia XL and thank you for amazing overall experience :)
Really enjoyed the game, funky and fun story and loved the vore as always! Can't wait for the next project but would love more with our favourite gurl!
just finished the game and i want to say that it was incredible. The way it managed to combine fetish content, comedy, and genuinely amazing story and characters is actually insane. i've been playing for ~2 years, and i've always been looking forward to the new updates. if it weren't for the fat content, i'd share this game with anyone i could.
I just want to say thank you for making this game, and I can't wait to see what your next projects have in store.
Followed the game from almost the very beginning. It was really nice to see this through to the end, and it’s almost sad in a way to play the final update. Thank you for making this game, as it helped inspire me to make games of my own, as well as showing me some other good stuff. Also thank you for helping me actually become more confident in myself, as this game’s development was during one of the worst times in my life. This game means a lot to me.
Thank you for making this game, and I really hope your future projects turn out well.
Have you considered an intro skip? It took me 40 minutes to get to the convenience store and, if I was to ever replay this, I would love to be able to have an option for a new game to start there.
I mention this because most games I've kept track of eventually have an update that breaks old save files. Also because some people don't have the patience for intros and backstory.
Edit: Now at the 9 hour mark. Also just scrolled through the other comments and saw the guy who said they're at the 96 hour mark. Yeah, anyone who feels the need to skip the intro just straight up ain't gonna be playing this game.
Apocxl is a story based game so I don't really see why you'd want to skip the intro if you're replaying. I've never had an update that breaks old save files, I design them not to.
Most of the stuff I play off Itch has either had save breaks be a regular risk or is short enough / non-linear enough that making new saves to see stuff isn’t uncommon. Even with the story and roleplay aspects, an unskippable 40 minute intro would be a slog in them.
I wrote the comment around 45 minutes in when I was still expected another of those games. My edit then came 8 hours after that when I realized those assumptions don’t apply here.
Still peak, and highly recommend, given the fact I am now largely into plump ladies with the occasional substantial man, I would say I have firmly succumbed to your fungus.
The Dragon Install lady was particularly humorous to me, Kebab’d.
Can’t wait to see the Community Questions update, I imagine they are all ineffably unhinged.
if i had a nickel for every stuffing fetish game with a talking sword i've played, i would have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's wired that it happened twice
Honestly datkblade feels like a more complete idea of Lilacor, in SB it felt kinda tacked on whole Darkblade its his own character with some good banter with the castv
I really like this game so far, but Amber really feels like a wish fulfillment self insert mary sue. She is basically never punished for acting like a douchbag and everyone around her also seem weirdly okay with her behavior. The game always justifies her opinions and actions even when she is obviously in the wrong. Never truly challenging her beliefs, which also seem like self insert beliefs from the author rather what a character in this world would genuinely believe.
BUT, i have only just gotten past the Cult section of the game so im hoping that my worries will be addressed as i play the rest of the game. Just wanted to share some of my critique. And again, i dont hate the game, so dont take this as some kind of hater post.

So is the game actually fully done? Since the status is still put on ''in development'' so i'm wondering if there'll be more or not
I forgor to change it
Lmao it happens at least i let you know :P
John’s 3rd side quest is bugged. It loads vlad’s first one instead for some reason?
Oh my, it's been a while since I checked in on the game, I believe .10 was the last time, but congratulations on finishing the game! That's some what rare to see in the community, especially one as long as this one.
Vore? Do we digest people? Can we get digested? I am rather interested now

hey can someone remind me what PEMIS stands for
Got like 24 hours into the game and was loving it,
My only real complaint is with what happened to cat.
Really feels like she got flanderised and made far worse just so they could get rid of her.
Really took me out of the game due to how randomly cruel it was.
I'm gonna miss Amber and her shenanigans
also while she didn't cook meat with her heat she did melt snow so I consider it a partial point!
the shrinking face at the start is killing me lmfao
So this is the last update? I am confused since it still says in development
aside from me forgetting to change that, I am gonna add a few more sidequests soon!
Ahh alrighty then thanks for letting me know :)

This was my literal reaction when Amber said that she can't gain weight.
Btw, haven't finished the game yet so don't spoil it.
this game made me genuinely (pardon the pun) BELLY LAUGH at least 5 times and im only like 45 mins in,
btw Chefs kiss to the "people of walmart" bit

The cyoa which inspired an story that been only ever told in my head(https://imgchest.com/p/ljyqqngxy25)
and the story in which I stole the tower setting from(https://novelight.net/book/sss-class-suicide-hunter)
And the music I was thinking of when the ending played out(enjoy it yall)
Another journey has reached its conclusion, and what a hell of an adventure it was. Great job my friend! Good luck on your next creatons!

So the game is finished, any plans for a new one or is that it for game making cause I would love to see you work on more game
I'm going to make another game yeah! Coming soon!
Mobile?
Not designed for it but some people have told me they've gotten it to work on mobile using apps made to run rpgmaker games or some such thing

Love. 🥰 🏳️⚧️
i played this 2 or 3 years before i transitioned, adore the work that was put into this ❤️
Small question, have you ever played lisa the painfull?
Yeah, I think the inspiration is obvious
Ho defiently, a good bunch of them would work great for joy mutants
This game may be the closest thing to an acid trip and it is beautiful, I haven't gone that far into it but it already smells of gem alert ngl
is there a way to move the crates in the top right corner of the univ. teritory?
Fully beat the full thing now.

is Cat's room an homage for Pro's chest collecting from SB?
A gift from the Lord!

i was thinking the same exact thing im so glad im not the only one who noticed this
is there something like cheats/dev mode?
reequipped darkblade and used him very disappointed bite attack didnt give new dialogue for the bonerpilar and other mutants
