This setup is being used by several devs, on several projects, and has simple flexibility built in. Drop your repos in the main folder, follow simple conventions, and add a small amount of configuration and be able to spin up your environment in minutes. This setup can configure a simple welcome page, configure the web server and cfml engine mappings, datasources, web server settings per site, host entries, and much more.
As great as this sounds, nothing is ever perfect, learn how some assumptions left me looking silly, and owing another developer a meal, and how I resolved that issue and made this vagrant setup even better.

LINE GAMEプラットフォームの製品であるPIONの開発チームでは、ログ用、サービス用などの「用途」および開発環境、サンドボックス環境、本番環境などの「環境」という2つの要素の直積を取る形で複数のElasticsearch（以下Es）クラスタを管理しています。Esは非常に多機能なミドルウェアであるために単一クラスタの場合でもチューニングポイントが多く、管理は簡単ではないですが、複数のクラスタになるとより一層難しくなります。特に、各クラスタに属するノードの管理、インストールされているプラグインの管理などは非常に煩雑で間違えやすくなります。単一クラスタの際はKibanaのベーシックプランやcerebroなどのOSSである程度管理が可能ですが、複数クラスタを持っている場合の最善策は何でしょうか？
また、単一・複数にかかわらず Es クラスタそのものの状態を適切にモニタリングして必要に応じてアラートがほしいという要求は常にあります。Kibanaのmonitoring機能はSearch/Indexそれぞれについてlatencyを見ることができますが、より詳細なモニタリングをするにはクライアント側でmetricsを取っておく必要があります。

LINE GAMEプラットフォームの製品であるPIONの開発チームでは、ログ用、サービス用などの「用途」および開発環境、サンドボックス環境、本番環境などの「環境」という2つの要素の直積を取る形で複数のElasticsearch（以下Es）クラスタを管理しています。Esは非常に多機能なミドルウェアであるために単一クラスタの場合でもチューニングポイントが多く、管理は簡単ではないですが、複数のクラスタになるとより一層難しくなります。特に、各クラスタに属するノードの管理、インストールされているプラグインの管理などは非常に煩雑で間違えやすくなります。単一クラスタの際はKibanaのベーシックプランやcerebroなどのOSSである程度管理が可能ですが、複数クラスタを持っている場合の最善策は何でしょうか？
また、単一・複数にかかわらず Es クラスタそのものの状態を適切にモニタリングして必要に応じてアラートがほしいという要求は常にあります。Kibanaのmonitoring機能はSearch/Indexそれぞれについてlatencyを見ることができますが、より詳細なモニタリングをするにはクライアント側でmetricsを取っておく必要があります。

Adventures with Podman and VarlinkJeremy Brown With the 'rise of containers' comes also the rise of container platforms. And while Docker is the way to do things for now, Podman has also been gaining traction as the new kid on the block especially after being somewhat embraced by RedHat and Fedora. Being new also comes with lack of heavy scrutiny and audit on the security side of things. Once you start integrating other protocols and pieces that compliment each other, such as Varlink, boundaries become fuzzy. Rather than focus on container breakouts, which are also very important, we'll focus on how Podman and Varlink interoperate and the authentication and security implications as such. We'll look at the remote API capabilities, secure configurations and how certain setups and projects out there by default can be vulnerable to compromise. By the end of the talk, we will have discussed various bugs, issues and hardening techniques around deploying Podman and Varlink together and if you don't know a lot about containers, you'll learn a bit along the way.

Foundation Models show impressive results in a wide-range of tasks on scientific and legal content from information extraction to question answering and even literature synthesis. However, standard evaluation approaches (e.g. comparing to ground truth) often don't seem to work. Qualitatively the results look great but quantitive scores do not align with these observations. In this talk, I discuss the challenges we've face in our lab in evaluation. I then outline potential routes forward.
