This is not Lavender. It’s Kurinji. The flowers bloom only once in 12 years and I wanted to see how AI upscaling handles it! Kurinji flowers are endemic to South India and grow only in the Shola forests across the Nilgiris, Kodaikanal, and parts of the Western Ghats. When they bloom, the entire hill turns purple. It’s a sight that stays for a few weeks and then disappears for more than a decade. As someone who loves hills, I’ve never had the chance to see them in person. The next bloom will happen around 2030, and I hope to witness it then. Until then, I wanted to see what it could look like. What you see here is my first use case with archidi.ai The base image was created in SeeDream... A visual study of a man in Toda clothing walking up a hill full of Kurunji flowers. I wanted to build a scene where Architecture steps back and the land takes the front. Where the house sits quietly on the rock, surrounded by flowers and mist. It is obvious that AI imagery lose clarity as we keep start looking in the distance And also break when the image is full of details. exactly why I created this image to test if I could keep that clarity all over. So I used archidi.ai to upscale it. The result is exactly what I wanted to see all the details on the petals, rocks, and the building stayed clear. and some grunge details like moss, grass blades and age on rocks got added in! This is a complex image and I like how it's started. Excited to see how it performs with future AI imagery and real projects.
