From 21 to 28 September 2025, Climate Week NYC, the world’s largest climate gathering outside of COP, united global leaders, innovators, businesses, youth and communities in New York City to accelerate the transition to a cleaner, more resilient and inclusive future. Under the theme ‘Power On’, the focus shifted from pledges to delivery: scaling clean energy, mobilising finance, leveraging AI and digital tools and embedding nature and equity into climate action. Over the course of the week, a shared sense of optimism emerged, reaffirming the importance of collaboration in driving measurable outcomes. Shireen’s journey with Dubai Holding began during her final year at university, when she joined the Dubai Holding Internship Programme. Following her graduation, she was selected to continue her path with us through the Leaders of Tomorrow Graduate Programme. From day one, she was entrusted with meaningful projects, guided by experienced mentors and empowered to make real impact. “It confirmed my desire to build my career here – and I haven’t looked back.” Our graduate programme gives ambitious young talent hands-on experience across Dubai Holding’s diverse businesses.
