𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧? 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐦𝐚 There’s always been a debate - does going fully digital take away from the human element that makes restaurant experiences memorable? The data tells a different story. Over 60% 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐊𝐒𝐀 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐔𝐀𝐄 say they prefer restaurants with 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬. These digital systems are not just for convenience, but to avoid the stress that often comes with traditional ordering: long queues, rushed decisions, and the pressure of a waiting cashier. Even when given the option to interact, most customers would rather browse and order through digital menus. For many, the ability to explore options calmly and order at their own pace enhances their experience, not reduces it. It’s not just about technology replacing people, but figuring out how digital can make the human experience better

𝐃𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰? 67% of consumers in KSA and UAE didn’t expect the kind of price increases they’re seeing in restaurants today. So how are they dealing with it? Are they choosing better restaurants with stronger promotions? Sticking to their regular spots but skipping dessert? Do they prefer combos or promotions to save on costs? Our latest 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐲 (Wave 6) digs into exactly that - how consumers are adapting, what drives their choices, and how price sensitivity is shaping brand loyalty in the region. What an insights packed Mingora evening with Christophe Poirier where he led Middle East's top foodservice professionals through a very intriguing "Saucy by KFC" story. An inspirational leader and an original thinker, Christophe's narrative led to enthusiastic back and forth with an engaged audience, who are all very familiar with the brand at home. The lesson: plant a beautiful garden for the future. Thank you Christophe for taking the time out for your MENA colleagues. We can't wait to host you personally when you are in the region.
