🇨🇭𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁! 15 students from the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Hochschule für Wirtschaft Zürich HWZ visited today the Consulate General of Switzerland and the Swiss Business Hub Middle East in #Dubai. As part of their study trip, they explored key players in the UAE’s vibrant startup ecosystem, from in5 Dubai and Global Ventures to DUBAI FUTURE FOUNDATION, Middle East Venture Partners (MEVP), Hub71, and startups such as EazyBot. During their stop with us, we introduced Switzerland Global Enterprise’s activities and focus sectors, such as #ICT, #Infrastructure, and #MEM, and exchanged thoughts on the opportunities awaiting Swiss innovators in the region. 💬 What struck us most were the students’ reflections. They saw firsthand that: - Business is built on relationships: success here depends on trust, patience, and understanding local dynamics. - Innovation is part of daily life: Dubai’s pace and ambition left them inspired to think bolder and faster. - Being present matters: they realized that in this region, local engagement and partnerships are key to long-term growth. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿? Because the Middle East is one of the fastest-evolving business landscapes in the world. 📊 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗹𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝗻𝗮𝗽𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘁 — 𝗚𝗖𝗖 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲: 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗱𝘀 The InternationalEnergyAgency IEA has released a new report showing how electricity demand in the Middle East is soaring — driven above all by cooling and desalination 💧. In the #GCC, temperatures are rising over twice the global average, with summers regularly above 40 °C. Cooling alone already accounts for half of peak demand and a quarter of annual consumption. #Swiss companies are trusted partners in this transition — delivering high-quality, bankable infrastructure that meets stringent global standards. With proven reliability in harsh climates, Swiss solutions ensure lower lifecycle costs and higher uptime.
