The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department has wa_rned that anyone involved in electronic fr_aud could face a fine of up to Dh1 million and a minimum of one year in pri_son. This is in line with Article 40 of Federal Decree-Law No. (34) of 2021 on cyb_ercri_mes and online fr@ud. The UAE Minister of Justice and President of the Federal Judicial Council has issued a resolution regulating the Bankruptcy Court (“Resolution”). The Resolution designated the Abu Dhabi Federal Court of First Instance as the court’s headquarter and granted it jurisdiction over all applications and disputes arising under the Federal Decree-Law on Financial Restructuring and Bankruptcy.
