Giving back to communities starts with small acts that make a big difference.   Our GE Vernova team in the UAE joined hands with the Blood Donation Centre of Dubai Health for a blood donation drive held right at our site in Jafza. We are pleased to announce the successful completion of Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for four of GE Vernova’s 75 MVAr, 155 kV shunt reactors at our Power Transformers factory in Gebze, #Türkiye, for Elia Group, #Belgium’s national transmission system operator.   Shunt reactors are like “voltage stabilizers” for the #Grid. They absorb extra energy that isn’t being used, helping to keep electricity flowing smoothly, reduce waste, and make the grid more reliable.   This milestone marks the first delivery of high-voltage equipment to Elia under a long-term agreement. GE Vernova’s shunt reactors are designed with reduced #NoiseEmissions, balancing performance with environmental considerations.    This project aims to contribute towards enhancing the stability and #Efficiency of the Belgian grid, supporting reliable #EnergyTransmission across the country.   Thanks to Elia teams for their collaboration and confidence in our technology and to our teams in Türkiye for achieving another important milestone for our customers! Gebze’deki Güç Transformatörleri Fabrikamızda, Belçika’nın ulusal iletim sistemi operatörü Elia Group için üretilen dört adet 75 MVAr, 155 kV şönt reaktörün Fabrika Kabul Testlerinin (FAT) başarıyla tamamlandığını duyurmaktan mutluluk duyuyoruz.   Şönt reaktörler, elektrik şebekesinin “voltaj dengeleyicileri” gibidir. Kullanılmayan fazla enerjiyi emerek elektrik akışının kesintisiz devam etmesini sağlar, kayıpları azaltır ve şebekenin güvenilirliğini artırır.   Bu önemli kilometre taşı, uzun vadeli anlaşmamız kapsamında Elia’ya yapılan ilk yüksek gerilim ekipman teslimatını ifade ediyor. Another milestone for our team in #SaudiArabia 🇸🇦💪 Our colleagues at #GESAT have successfully delivered all 14 accessory modules for the expansion of the Hajr Power Plant — including fuel control, air extraction, water wash, and service modules. ⚙️ These modules will support two of GE Vernova’s 7HA.02 Heavy Duty Gas Turbines, delivering 1,100 MW of reliable electricity to the Eastern Region — enough to power hundreds of thousands of homes.⚡ 👏 Congratulations to our Saudi team for delivering advanced technology at world-class standards and on time once again! And we’re not done yet. As part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening energy systems across #Africa, GE Vernova is collaborating with the Lagos State Government in #Nigeria to support the development of a reliable, efficient, and sustainable power infrastructure. ⚡   The Lagos State Government has collaborated with GE Vernova to conduct a comprehensive Power System Impact Study for the integration of a proposed 2,000MW gas-fired power plant into the state’s grid. Insights from the study will inform actions to improve electricity reliability, modernize energy infrastructure, and support sustainable growth for millions of residents.   In this study, Lagos State will coordinate the support of the key stakeholders including the new state power agencies, distribution companies, and the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), while GE Vernova’s Consulting Services will lead the entire study using industry standard modeling tools - to evaluate grid impacts and recommend priority upgrades.   #PoweringAfricaForward #EnergyOfChange

A proud milestone in Johannesburg, #SouthAfrica: 43 learners from 15 schools graduated from the Next Engineers Engineering Academy! 🎓   Together with partners PROTEC STEM, the University of the Witwatersrand, and the Kutitiva Foundation - and with more than 680 volunteer hours from GE Vernova colleagues last year - we’re helping build pathways for young South Africans to become tomorrow’s engineers.   To date, the Next Engineers programme in #Johannesburg has reached nearly 4,100 learners and awarded $36,000 in scholarships to qualifying graduates. This year, locally, GE Vernova awarded an additional $83,000 in scholarships to 10 graduates through the country’s External Bursary Programme, opening doors to further study and careers in #STEM.   This builds on a major milestone in 2024, when our first Academy cohort graduated - trailblazers who are now pursuing studies in engineering and related fields. The second cohort, graduating this year, continues that legacy of excellence and transformation. As Lerato S., a 2024 graduate, shared: “Being part of the Academy changed my life. I’m now studying mechanical engineering, and I wouldn’t be here without the support and inspiration I got from this program.” And from Sipho D., part of the 2025 cohort: “The Academy gave me a family of future engineers. We grew together, learned together, and now we’re ready to change the world.”   We were honored to welcome Dr. Nomalungelo Gina, Deputy Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, who applauded the Next Engineers programme for contributing towards advancing STEM education in South Africa.
