We had such a wonderful time during our stay! The people who stood out the most during our stay were Jezer for windsurfing lessons, Miguel for the boat tour, Martin and Esteban at check in, Jhojan at check out, and Alejandro for golf cart driving. We had our young daughter with us and everyone was so kind. The food was great and the resort is secluded and quiet and well thought out. The resort has a family feel in terms of everyone is kind, friendly, and wants to do their best by everyone onsite. Our only issue was not having housekeeping for the last 2 days that we were on the property. On the 2nd to last day we didn't receive midday housekeeping which was completely understandable because that was during our daughter's nap time, but then there wasn't any cleanup that night and then the next day we had no service for the entire day despite being gone for several hours during dinner. So this just meant that we had a lot of built up trash and towels and that we were nearly out of toilet paper by the time we had left. This was the only thing I felt impacted a star, and even then this is more like half a star. Had this not been the last two days of our trip (we didn't realize it was starting to be a pattern until our last night) we absolutely would have called and I am 100% certain that they would have addressed this issue. We still plan to be back and we know now that we should have been more clear with housekeeping at the beginning when our daughter would be napping and reconfirming our dinner reservations times. I would recommend communicating nap times and reservations with all service staff when you arrive and to not assume that these items have been shared between departments.

Iker did a great, informative boat tour at Fairmont Mayakoba. Do this! Getting to the hotel from Cancun Airport we used USA Transport and they were really good. Rooms were very comfortable and high end.

We went for 1 week as a family with 3 kids and grandparents - this is our second time in the resort and we had a great time - accommodation is spacious and comfortable, beach and activities are plentiful and the service is great - our butlers Vanessa and Agustín made our stay exceptional. We will be back

Fairmont mayakoba was amazing, from the time we got there to the time we left everything was top notch. We had been assigned our own “butler” (Jhovany) who was there to assist with dinner reservations, transportation, activities, ETC. The room was spacious and luxurious, we upgraded to a casita at check in and it was wonderful. There are golf carts that take you throughout the properly as well as bikes and great walking paths. The beach was very nice, from beautiful water to the best sand I’ve ever stepped on. We did the jet ski and snorkeling and both were amazing and decent value. Spa was amazing 10/10. Golf course on property was 10/10 and my caddie Yonny was amazing. We will definitely be back!!! The only downside was not much to do for a young couple at night other than have dinner or drinks at a chill bar but if you’re a big partier you’re probably not staying there anyways.

We were fortunate enough to go to the Maicoba in Cancun in October. It was a difficult decision because we didn’t wanna leave the colors of northern Michigan, but definitely enjoyed the warmth and the clear blue water of the Caribbean. We did have a few minor issues most of Moore due to the raccoons that visited us our first night therewent upon explaining to the front staff they quickly moved us to a second story and we didn’t have to worry about the uninvited guest in our suite we had two wonderful butlers, jjovanny and Marlon. they were very good at catering to our every needs. It is a very family, friendly resort very large but soon we were comfortable with the golf carts taking us from the beach to the main area. The one recommendation that I would have is at certain restaurants like the steakhouse. I would recommend that they do not have children served after 7 o’clock at night. It was sometimes uncomfortable with the noise of the children when you were trying to have a nice romantic evening with your partner daughter-in-law, a truly wonderful experience.
