Hey, the main reason I’m leaving this review is because of the widget you guys have. I would give it 6/5 stars if i could. It’s amazing to have all the scores in one place and so organized. It’s how i stay up to date most of the time. Makes me automatically love this app. The actual app is great as well, and has many amazing features. The one thing I think could use a tiny improvement is the presentation, the app can feel a but cluttered at times and the horizontal scrolling can be less than ideal at points. Sometimes it just feels like there’s too much on the screen at one time and i think a new menu system or organization would help. Also (this is just a want, not necessary), I think a change (or addition in some cases) to the visual updates to a game’s play-by-play could use a visual improvement (similar to the way ESPN does theirs for football and basketball, with visuals for shots missing/going in, a visual of the court, and overall just a visual appeal for drives/field in football). This would help me to want to use the app for score updates instead of just the widget; I wouldnt be just staring at a blank play-by-play and refreshing. Thanks so much!

For the past 2 months, when using this app, I've been getting spam ads that say I have a virus on my phone. I took a screenshots of the spam ads and googled them. Sure enough, they were spam ads, and I don't have a virus.

Over the past 2 months, I've noticed new spam ads come with each update. There used to be no ads. Now there are ads. I understand maybe they need to make $. I have no problem with a little spam in a free app. Buy these shady spam ads saying you have a virus is bothersome. I know better, meaning I know I don't have a virus. But what about naive people, what happens with them?...they can be taken advantage of.

The thing is, I've been using this app for over 2 years. I love it. Very simple, lightweight. But these new spam ads have me questioning the integrity of the company. For that, I give 2 stars.

Update: I was able to get live activities to work by toggling the setting off/on and then restarting my device. So seems the ‘flakiness’ may be more on Apple’s OS side than the app. Increasing the star rating. I think it’s still a kind of clunky implementation when compared to the AppleTV live activities alerts, but at least I can go into the app and manually enable the feature now.

The app overall is decent, but I was specifically hoping the live activity feature would work for any game (especially NHL, since they’re not currently supported via AppleTV). I was excited to see that I could (manually) start live activity for hockey games, however, it seems to only work some of the time. I don’t know if it’s somehow tied to regional blackouts, or if it’s just flakey in general, but without this feature I get everything else this app offers in other apps I’ve been using. Figure out how to a) make live activities more reliable and b) allow them to start automatically for favorited teams and this app would be fantastic
