Great App with Broken Zoom Button

So much to like here, but still some jank sadly. If that was fixed this would be the EASY first choice for a Jellyfin client.

~~CONS~~
Most glaring is the zoom button… it does nothing right now. Big downer when you have a widescreen film that would like perfect filling out the entire iPhone screen. As of now, they’re stuck with black bars on top AND the side.

Also, details in the UI could use some modernization.
-Text on bottom bar navigation would look better with a lighter weight. Current weight is reminiscent of early iPhone (late 2000s) boldness, when the screens had lower PPI. Nitpicky, but has an effect on perception of polish.
-The purple accent of the app is… a bit garish. The option to customize it, or at the very least adopt the Jellyfin blue would be very welcome.

~~PROS~~
-Best Jellyfin player out of all options, by far!
•Transcoding quality selecter built in, changes qualities quickly.
•Media load faster than swiftfin or jellyfin official.
•Big, obvious, intuitive buttons. No little itty bitty buttons from the Jellyfin web player presented in an app.
•Trickplay works very well
-Great details presentation, no other app shows bitrate in a clear spot. Why???

TL/DR; Super close! Just fix player zoom button, modernize a few UI elements, let us change the purple. Thanks for all the work that went into this!

So close to perfect!

This app is almost perfect. I couldnt believe the official Jellyfin client app is missing the ability to download videos, having that here is awesome. The jellyseerr integration is an amazing touch as well. When there’s app integration across services it makes my spouse believe more in selfhosted applications (which helps justify the time and money spent on the hobby lol). The only thing this app is lacking is polish. Design-wise it looks great. However, occasionally opening videos will throw a playback URI error but hitting okay plays the video anyways. Subtitles don’t seem to work on downloads. Also the app occasionally crashes when switching between watching videos.
Once polished, this app deserves to be the official Jellyfin client app. The only feature adds I would love are an Apple TV app and AirPlay support.
This app is extremely promising and I hope development continues!

Sold option

Tried this out as I was disappointed that I couldn’t download my media for on the go offline use using swiftfin or jellyfin mobile apps.

This one works pretty straightforward! It has an easy use from what I’ve seen. Very exited to see where this project goes.

Not sure if it was my end or not, but I did notice downloading a movie was a little buggy. It downloaded fine, but trying to get offline playback was rough. It kept loading without any progress, including when I skipped around. I’m assuming that’s because the file was 11GB but not really sure. It at least works, and I’m hoping will only keep improving.
