The quantum architecture company.

Info

ParityQC is the world’s only quantum architecture company. It was founded in January 2020 by Wolfgang Lechner and Magdalena Hauser, as a spin-off from the University of Innsbruck. We develop blueprints and an operating system for highly scalable quantum computers, with applications ranging from solving optimization problems on NISQ devices to general-purpose, error-corrected quantum computing. The ParityQC Architecture provides unique advantages for all currently available hardware platforms and for both methods (digital and analog). We collaborate with quantum hardware developers worldwide, to jointly build highly scalable quantum computers. We are also part of several joint projects in Europe aimed at the advancement of quantum computing.

We’re excited to reveal the Semifinalists of the XPRIZE #QuantumApplications competition! 🖥️ Narrowed down from 133 submissions across 31 countries, these Semifinalist teams are helping to bring quantum algorithm innovation from concept toward real-world capability. Prior to this, the quantum field had been focused on theory, rather than application, but these teams are proving that the quantum industry is growing. We’re proud to share that half of the teams proposed entirely new algorithms, which is uncommon in a field where developing genuinely new approaches is difficult. Across the 20 Semifinalist teams, competitors identified 11 pressing global issues to tackle—many centered on clean energy, climate adaptation, and public health. Some examples include: ➡️ Using quantum simulation to model large biomolecular condensates composed of proteins and RNA. ➡️ Applying quantum measurement theory to biological imaging to minimize measurement-induced damage to fragile samples. ➡️ Developing a new, more resource-efficient framework for quantum simulation of fundamental particles to accelerate the discovery of materials for clean energy and carbon capture. The quality, diversity, and ambition of these submissions reflect a field rapidly maturing and one that’s collaborative and outcome-driven. We’re thrilled to have XPRIZE Quantum Applications at the forefront of this movement.  Learn more about the Semifinalist teams here. https://lnkd.in/gc6P-KPr XPRIZE Quantum Applications is made possible thanks to the generous support of title sponsor Google Quantum AI and presenting partner GESDA - Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator Foundation.

Heading to the Munich Quantum Software Forum on October 20–21? Don’t miss ParityQC founder Wolfgang Lechner presenting our breakthrough invention Parity Twine, on day 2 of the conference. Parity Twine sets a world record in the implementation of key quantum algorithms across all connectivity types. It reduces gate count and circuit depth, works efficiently even on sparse linear chains, and has been proven optimal on all-to-all connected systems. Our team is looking forward to hearing the inspiring keynotes at #MQSF and connecting with the quantum community in Munich! The conference will take place at Technical University of Munich. This September, we had two great new additions to our team - welcome, Arianna and Moritz! Arianna Crippa’s journey began in Milan, where she completed her Bachelor's degree in physics and earned her Master’s degree (cum laude) with a focus on theoretical physics and quantum field theory. In 2021, she moved to Germany for a PhD at DESY and Humboldt University of Berlin. There, she researched the application of quantum computing to high-energy physics, with a focus on lattice gauge theories - continuing later as a Post-doc at DESY. Arianna is joining ParityQC’s Use case department in Hamburg, where she will help develop quantum error correction techniques while also contributing to the HQML project. Alongside her scientific work, she has independently mastered oil painting, blending traditional painting techniques with the application of quantum computing - bringing together quantum physics and art. Moritz Martin studied Business law at the University of Innsbruck, where he completed both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. He gained experience in the public sector, the financial industry, and a renowned law firm, developing expertise in corporate law, compliance, contract management, and data protection. Most recently, he worked in the legal field at a public institution in Innsbruck, where he further deepened his practical expertise in contract drafting and regulatory matters. He is joining the Operations department of ParityQC as a Legal Officer, eager to strengthen our company’s legal and regulatory framework and to combine his legal background with a steadily growing interest in the world of quantum computing. If you’re interested in being part of our growing team, you can find the latest open roles here on LinkedIn and on our Careers page: https://lnkd.in/dMv668K

Quantum gates, reimagined. We recently presented a completely new class of quantum gates, built to preserve the noise bias of qubits and lead to more efficient quantum error correction: replacement-type gates. Check out the carousel below to learn why we decided to focus our research on this topic and how the invention works 💡 Read the paper here: https://lnkd.in/e86WKu9d

Our colleagues Philipp Aumann and Max Cykiert had the pleasure of taking part in the SQA Conference in Delft last week. Philipp was a speaker at the conference and his talk addressed one of the core challenges in today’s quantum processors: limited qubit connectivity. Many algorithms, such as QFT or QAOA, require high algorithmic connectivity, but real hardware rarely provides this. While SWAP gates are the usual workaround, they quickly become costly. Our solution, Parity Twine, sets a new world record for the implementation of cornerstone quantum algorithms across all types of connectivity. It outperforms state-of-the-art approaches in both gate count and circuit depth, delivering improvements even on linear chains, the sparsest connectivity. And for all-to-all connected systems, we could even prove optimality. Beyond the great talks and discussions at the conference, our colleagues also got to experience Delft’s vibrant quantum ecosystem and visit the impressive QuTech facilities, a real highlight. A big thank you to QuTech, Orange Quantum Systems and IQM Quantum Computers for organizing such a well-run conference and for bringing together so many brilliant minds in the superconducting qubit community. Looking forward to continuing the conversations and collaboration ideas sparked at SQA 2025! Learn more about Parity Twine here: https://lnkd.in/d_HSs9mF

A new milestone in the QSea I project: ParityQC has delivered a digital twin of the QSea I quantum computer demonstrator to the DLR Quantum Computing Initiative. This digital twin replicates all functions of the QSea I device in detail, enabling rapid, hardware-specific algorithm development and performance testing. Integrated with the QSea I compiler, also developed by ParityQC, it is an important tool to accelerate research and ensure seamless deployment of the physical device. The digital twin is now available to DLR research teams as a QC backend simulator via the Quantum platform "QCI Connect". This enables DLR’s use case and software projects to interact with the virtual system in real time and use the compiler to develop and validate algorithms in a wide range of industrial and scientific use cases. By providing broad access to a virtual version of the QSea I device, ParityQC – together with consortium partners eleQtron GmbH and NXP Semiconductors – supports the rapid development of scalable quantum applications. To learn more about the QSea consortium, check out the project website: q-sea.de
