In our latest customer case study, you can learn about how PowerField transformed its short-term power trading with Volue PowerBot. For PowerField, its main challenges were linked to the variable and uncertain nature of solar production. According to Eelco Rondhuis, Head of Energy Management at PowerField, forecast deviations required constant monitoring, and intraday opportunities for curtailment and de-curtailment optimisation demanded fast reaction times. Eelco explains: “Without automation, these activities were resource-intensive, and required significant manual effort. The team therefore set out to automate short-term trading activities to reduce the manual workload, improve responsiveness to market movements, better integrate production forecasts with market optimisation, and minimise imbalance costs while maximising revenue opportunities.” To address these challenges, PowerField implemented Volue PowerBot, a scalable execution platform designed for 24/7 trading in European short-term power markets such as EPEX SPOT and Nord Pool. Optimised for intraday continuous trading as well as auction markets, Volue PowerBot provides traders with a comprehensive solution for short-term power trading. Orders are now placed and adjusted in real time according to market signals and forecast updates, which has increased operational efficiency and reduced the risk of missing profitable intraday opportunities. Last week, European energy market regulator ACER has launched a new data platform called "ACER REMIT Data Reference Centre" with the aim to increase transparency for EU wholesale energy markets. You can access it here: https://lnkd.in/dMN-t6tS The intraday market data set currently includes data for for Q1 2025 and allows you to get daily information on number of buy/sell transactions per delivery area split by within day and day ahead transactions and MTU size (HQ/Q) as well as involved market participants. Let's hope that there will be more data insights on price and flows in the future.

Volue Energy Days 2025 are a wrap! What an incredible two days in beautiful Hamburg! We were thrilled to welcome 250 participants to an inspiring and insightful event focused on the future of energy. We had the honor of opening with a keynote from former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, Nobel Peace Prize laureate and Academy Award winner, who shared his powerful perspective on the urgency of climate action. Throughout the event, we were proud to host industry partners and senior representatives from some of Europe’s largest energy companies. Through panel discussions, expert presentations, and interactive breakout sessions, we explored the challenges and opportunities of the energy transition. A key highlight for us was the focus on integrated asset trading in flexibility markets - an area where Volue continues to deliver on our promise of turning volatility into value. Great to be at X Energy Exchanges conference this week! It was a fantastic opportunity for Volue PowerBot to connect with Greek market participants and share what we’ve been working on. With the upcoming launch of 15-minute trading products in the Greek intraday market things are about to get a lot more interesting, but also more challenging. We were represented by Maximilian Kiessler, who shared some learnings from the Bulgarian market where quarter-hour products were introduced already in 2022.
