💡 Scaling GitOps isn’t just a tech challenge — it’s a mindset shift. At #CloudNative Days Austria in Vienna, our colleague Gabor Horvath shared how we are evolving our runtime platform with Argo CD and Kargo. His talk covered the journey from exploring different deployment models to choosing a per-cluster #ArgoCD architecture and building a sharded Kargo setup — showing how automation and the right design decisions enable #GitOps that is scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant. We were proud to be represented by Timea Javor-Erkan, Daniel Kopeinig, Mark Guttenbrunner, Thomas Killar, and Alice Sulzer, who connected with the Cloud Native community and brought back valuable insights. 🙌 👉 Key takeaway: When technology, automation, and best practices come together, platform teams can move faster, safer, and with more confidence. What’s your biggest learning when it comes to making Cloud and GitOps work at scale? P.S. We also had the opportunity to engage with young tech talents at the FH Technikum Wien fair, reinforcing our commitment to nurturing the next generation of innovators. Thanks to Annkathrin Hassel, Christina Stolz, Conny Trögl and Can Karapinar.

On October 10, we had the pleasure of hosting the hybrid UNICO Financial Health and Inclusion Summit for the network of leading cooperative banks in Europe. 🙌 Christine Würfel: “It is very motivating how the UNICO banks are taking care of the topic of #financial health & inclusion, eagerly learning about the necessary steps to build a truly valuable customer relationship and serve financial needs of our banking customers.” 🤝 Joint insights from the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) (Blaisiane Blanchard) and Fédération Nationale du Crédit Agricole (Lamya Benkirane and Géraldine COPY) demonstrated the diverse strategic considerations behind their efforts to create the greatest impact on the topic in France. A truly empowering and inspiring keynote and workshop on impact measurement methods and target setting was led by Laura Diaz Zea from United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI). The session sparked lively engagement across the room, offering not just theory but practical, actionable guidance. ✨ Andrea Grifoni from OECD - OCDE provided valuable insights on financial education and introduced a range of practical toolkits designed to assess and enhance the impact of financial education initiatives. UNICO banks shared their best practice #initiatives for vulnerable groups such as financial education for children by OP Financial Group (Satu Kuoppamäki); seniors in rural communities by BANCO COOPERATIVO ESPAÑOL (Oscar Martínez Patón); building financial resilience by Credit Agricole (Géraldine Copy) and digital financial education for children – TABI by Tatra banka & Martin Benczy. The summit once again emphasized the value of cross-border knowledge sharing between cooperative banks committed to advancing financial health & #inclusion. 👏 Thank you to all speakers, contributors, and attendees for making this such a unique and impactful event! 💛

Finance in Focus: #Highlights from the 39th Finance Symposium Alpbach 🎯 Austria’s leading finance event, the 39th Alpbacher Finance Symposium, brought together CFOs, treasurers, and C-level executives from across the DACH region from 8–10 October 2025 in Alpbach, providing a unique platform for exchange and insight, with Raiffeisen Bank International and the Raiffeisen Banking Group Austria as joint sponsors. A special highlight was the exclusive RBI dinner at Hotel Böglerhof, fostering conversations with clients and partners, hosted by Valerie Brunner and Daniel Rath. 📌 The agenda of the Symposium included some interesting discussions, such as the Executive Panel on 'How to Remain as Flexible as Possible with Financing: Instruments for Working Capital and Acquisitions', which was moderated by Jessica Schwarzer and featured contributions from Valerie Brunner, Wilfrid Fabjani, Oliver Fern, Dieter Hengl and Klemens Eiter. During the panel, Valerie Brunner stressed that “There is a broad array of instruments available to finance working capital and special situations. To be prepared for strategic moves, the regular exchange with your banking partner is essential.” 🤝🏻 📌 Another program highlight was the “Interest Rate and Currency Outlook” session, where Gunter Deuber discussed the outlook for high interest rates and the increasing role of government deficits as future interest rate drivers together with Gerhard Massenbauer, Jürgen Michels, Antje Praefcke, and Stefan Bruckbauer. Christian Helmenstein moderated the panel. During the panel, Gunter Deuber stated that he expects interest rates to rise from their current levels over the course of 2026. The underlying drivers include an increased issuance of sovereign bonds, shifting expectations regarding ECB rate hikes in the medium term, and global upward pressure on capital market yields originating in the US Treasury market. Although the euro is likely to strengthen against the dollar up until 2026, political developments in France could temporarily limit its upward momentum. 📸: Philipp Huber & Matthias Sedlak #MakeItHappen #FinanceSymposiumAlpbach
