The Autonomous Main Event 2025 has officially come to a close! Over the past two days at Hofburg Vienna, we experienced powerful keynotes, engaging panel discussions, the Disruptors’ presentations, deep technical workshops, a very insightful masterclass by Philip Koopman, and vibrant networking, all centered around this year’s motto: “𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁: 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲-𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆.” With over 𝟰𝟬𝟬 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 from 𝟮𝟯𝟬+ 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 across the globe, this 6th edition marked a significant milestone in our journey to accelerate safe and secure software-defined autonomy. Exciting keynote talk by Missy Cummings at The Autonomous today. The progress to date on autonomous vehicles has been impressive. So much more work remains for safety at scale. This talk was a crucial reality check.

Today, we are diving into a day filled with inspiring keynotes, engaging panel discussions, fireside chats, and the disruptors' presentations. Ricky Hudi, Chairman of The Autonomous, opened the day by celebrating the global community of bright minds gathered to accelerate the future of safe and secure software-defined autonomy. His message of appreciation set the tone for a day of collaboration and impact. 🚗 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟭 of The Autonomous Main Event 2025 is officially wrapped up, and here are the highlights: ✔️ Experts from 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 & 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 explored how conceptual architectures and sufficient independence are key to safe automated driving. ✔️ McKinsey & Company led a workshop titled “From Vision to Reality: What’s Next for Autonomous Driving?” exploring the recent survey results on ADAS and autonomous driving.   ✔️ Philip Koopman, Faculty Emeritus at Carnegie Mellon University, delivered a masterclass on embodied AI safety principles for automated driving, a topic also explored in his latest book. ✔️ Workshop hosted by Infineon Technologies & driveblocks, showcased a modular architecture for off-road autonomy, integrating physical AI on embedded edge devices.
