  • Our teams play an important role in inspiring the next generation of construction professionals through initiatives that connect with students and offer valuable insight into the industry. One of our South East Queensland project teams, in partnership with CSQ - Construction Skills Queensland, recently hosted students from WesTEC Trade Training Centre. This opportunity gave the students a firsthand experience of one of the region’s major projects currently under construction. 🏗️   Guided by our team, the students explored the wide range of careers available in construction and gained insight into the many trades and disciplines involved. For many, the visit provided valuable context for how their future skills will contribute to major community projects. ✨ Initiatives like this are part of our commitment to building the future of our industry.👏 #BuildingTheBestTogether #ConstructionFuture

  • 10 Years of Overseas Passenger Terminal | This National Safe Work Month, we’re proud to look back on one of our projects that showcased our ability to manage complex stakeholder interfaces, while upholding our signature safety standard - the major upgrade to Sydney’s Overseas Passenger Terminal, completed in 2015.   The project was recognised nationally for safety excellence: 🏆National Excellence in WHS Award from the Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner. 🏆Site Safety Award for Commercial Projects up to $50M – Master Builders NSW.   These awards recognised our expertise in dynamic, live environment builds with significant public interfaces - a capability we still demonstrate today.   #BuildingTheBestTogether #SafetyExcellence

🏀 Proud to support She Hoops at the WNBL Townsville Tip Off! BESIX Watpac was honoured to be the Presenting Partner of She Hoops, a powerful initiative founded by Olympic and WNBL Champion Lauren Jackson AO OLY and driven by Australian Opal great Tess Madgen OLY. She Hoops is more than basketball – it’s about building pathways for girls and women across Australia through skills clinics, leadership programs, and community engagement. It’s also about upskilling local sporting participants and volunteers, and creating opportunities for First Nations leadership, led by Australian Opal and WNBL star Ally Wilson OLY. As we look ahead to the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, initiatives like She Hoops help close the regional divide and maybe even uncover our next Olympic champion! With over 100 years of history in North Queensland, BESIX Watpac is proud to invest in programs that empower communities and celebrate elite sporting talent in regional Australia. • This month marks one year since work began on the Woolworths Sydney Chilled and Fresh Distribution Centre in Western Sydney - and what a year it’s been! The progress on site has been nothing short of phenomenal. A major milestone was recently achieved with the completion of the roof and cladding, enclosing the distribution centre with nearly 35,000m² of roofing - that’s 8.6 acres!🎉✨ Next up: installation of one of Australia’s largest solar panel arrays, covering an impressive 21,000m². All of this follows a record-breaking July & August, where the team placed over 13,000m³ of concrete including all of the Level 1 FM2 grade slab successfully completed in under 8 weeks.☀️😎   We're tracking on time to have the construction complete in late 2026. Once operations are live in 2027, it will be the largest multi-story, temperature-controlled distribution centre in the Southern Hemisphere.   #BuildingTheBestTogether #ConstructionMilestone #Sustainability Woolworths Group Primary Connect #DistributionCentre #WesternSydney
