Updates

  • We’re proud to share that Circle Green’s 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 has been shortlisted for the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 Institute of Public Administration Australia WA (IPAA WA) 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 in Best Practice in Innovation. Led by Circle Green Community Legal, the project is driving change across Western Australia to prevent and respond to workplace sexual harassment and discrimination. Through trauma-informed legal services, lived-experience design, and creative prevention initiatives, we’re helping to shift harmful cultural norms and create safer, more respectful workplaces. From our 𝘌𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵 campaign, which turned the humble coffee cup into a tool for social change, to our state-wide education program, the project shows what’s possible when community legal services think boldly and act collaboratively. This recognition reflects the collective effort of our staff, partners, funders, and community allies including Legal Aid WA, the Aboriginal Legal Service, Law Access Limited, Department of Justice, and more. Thank you to everyone who has collaborated with us on this Project. 👏 Congratulations to all the finalists creating impact across WA and thank you to the judges for recognising innovation in this vital area. 🔗 Learn more about the Workplace Respect Project: https://lnkd.in/ggEWMp9p #IPAAAwards

  • 🏠 Beyond tenancy law. Building belonging. At the 𝗧𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, one truth was clear: housing justice is about more than legal outcomes. It’s about dignity, safety, and the right to a home. As Hon. Tim Clifford MLC (Greens WA) reminded us: “The government needs to do better. We need solutions that match the scale of the housing crisis. I absolutely believe we can do this together — and we must.” Read our reflections on the ideas shaping WA’s housing future: https://ow.ly/i8Ij50XcQlJ

  • 📣 Exciting News! Circle Green has been shortlisted as a finalist for the The Law Society of Western Australia's 𝘐𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘠𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘈𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥 for our 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲. Every day, our dedicated team supports people seeking protection from persecution, many of whom continue to experience trauma while navigating one of Australia’s most complex and lengthy legal processes. This recognition highlights the real impact of the work: Behind every number in the 50,000-case backlog is a person. Our legal service is helping them navigate complex pathways — and preventing system failure. We’re honoured to stand alongside fellow nominees whose work is driving innovation across the legal sector: Hamilton Locke and Redgum Justice. Your work is making a real difference. We’re proud to celebrate this moment with you. 🔗 Learn more about our Protection Visa and Appeals Legal Service: https://lnkd.in/e5DUhvqn
