Remembering Marley, the Alpine Dingo of Casuarina Harbour. 🐕💕 Born in the Pilbara, rescued and brought to Harvey, before moving to his forever home at our Casuarina Boat Harbour, Marley touched a lot of people's lives in Bunbury, both local and visiting. 🥰 It is only fitting for a lasting reminder to be created in the area, with the renaming of Boat Ramp Road to 'Marley Place.' Plans to commission a statue of Marley are also in motion through the South West Development Commission and Marine Rescue Bunbury. 👏 A paw-fect tribute to a local legend. 💫

We are running a survey about active travel in WA and we would love your input! 🚲👩🦽🏃♂️ This survey covers everything that makes an active transport network great - from the infrastructure and amenities, to shade, greenery, and more. 🌳 We want to hear from you! Fill out the short survey at 👉https://lnkd.in/gHn9Um97
As part of our Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure's Planning and Designing for Active Transport in WA guidance suite, we’re in the early stages of creating a vision for amenity and identity across the active transport network. We’ve engaged Sam Keen and Ian Rooney from Found Wayfinding, who’ve been leading a series of on-network bike rides and walks with subject matter experts to explore what high and low amenity feels like - discussing opportunities, barriers, and possibilities along the way. A huge thanks to REALMstudios, Damien Pericles and his team, Jessie Moore, Jacob Martin, Lisa Rooke, and our interns Andrea Forrester and Stephen Ntoumenopoulos for joining us so far. Nothing beats getting out on the network we’re working to improve. 🗺️ We need your input! We are running a short survey to help us understand how people experience the active transport network in WA - whether you walk, wheel, or ride (or want to do more of it!). Your feedback will help shape future goals for the network - not just infrastructure, but the features that make routes feel comfortable and attractive to use: things like wayfinding, activities, shade, signage, lighting, and greenery. 👉 Take and share the survey here: https://lnkd.in/gHn9Um97
