This marks a major milestone for our NSW development business. With The YARDS in Kemps Creek nearing being fully leased, the next chapter of growth is already taking shape through Edge in Kemps Creek and now Canopy in Horsley Park. These are two landmark projects that will help define the future of industrial development in Western Sydney. Set across 36 hectares, Canopy will deliver eight high-quality industrial buildings totalling 180,000 sqm of GFA, supported by a café, landscaped parks, and walking tracks to enhance employee wellbeing and create a truly connected workplace environment. Sunrock recently completed our largest solar installation in Europe at The Tube in Germany and we are proud to work with them again on five more solar PV installations across our portfolio. Sunrock are a leading European company that make large-scale solar and integrated energy solutions. New solar PV systems are being installed in Link, Günzburg, Bavaria; Egelsbach, Hesse; Flexcity, Mülheim an der Ruhr; Duisburg; and in Bergheim totalling 16.5 MWp. In total, approximately 281,600 square meters of rooftop space will be equipped with nearly 60,000 solar modules, which will generate around 26,000 MWh of green electricity annually and save more than 11,600 tonnes of CO₂ per year. Sustainability. Innovation. Collaboration. Three themes that define this year’s EXPO REAL (Messe München).  That’s a wrap for another year and what an inspiring few days it’s been. One moment we are incredibly proud of was receiving the DGNB German Sustainable Building Council Gold Certificate for the sustainable demolition at The Tube in Düsseldorf. This achievement was the largest of its kind in Germany. Another highlight was welcoming Sunrock as we recently announced their appointment to install solar across five new properties. Over three days, our European team met with industry leaders to discuss what’s next for sustainability, logistics and purpose-built industrial facilities designed around our customers’ evolving needs. We’re making excellent progress on LINK, our new industrial and commercial park in Günzburg, Bavaria, with completion scheduled for early 2026. This modern development will feature three buildings, offering a total lettable area of 49,688 sqm, designed to meet the diverse needs of logistics, industry, trade, and e-commerce organisations. Structural works for halls 1 to 3 are now complete, and the facades and roof construction is proceeding on schedule. Each building will be equipped with solar power systems and green roofs, and we’re targeting a Gold certification from the DGNB German Sustainable Building Council. The European team recently came together for our annual Helping Hands volunteering day, which embraces the chance to give back to local communities while strengthening team bonds.  Since 2022, our EU teams have been volunteering with local organisations as not only a chance to help the community, but also to foster teamwork and build lasting relationships. This year’s activities included volunteering at two disability care facilities and a kindergarten. The team cleaned and repaired outdoor areas to create more welcoming spaces enjoyment and social interaction, took patients on a wheelchair walk around the neighbourhood, and donated €1,000 to help purchase a special wheelchair bike that will make outdoor activities more accessible, as well as gardening, building a footpath, packing gifts, and crafting festive St. Nicholas bags. A huge thank you to everyone involved and the organisations that allow us to support them, Stichting Omega and Ons Tweede Thuis. CIP Constructions has been appointed to deliver three facilities at The YARDS. These cover approx 24,000 sqm across three lots at our Kemps Creek estate, including the new Toshiba Australia facility.   Construction of the first building began in 2021. Since then, The YARDS has grown into a benchmark for industrial development.   The new buildings include: Lot 1: 4,710 sqm warehouse, 262 sqm office, battery charge area, warehouse amenities, and services pump room. Lot 4: 10,680 sqm warehouse, 670 sqm office, battery charge area, warehouse amenities, and services pump room. Lot 19A: 3,055 sqm warehouse, 264 sqm office, warehouse amenities, and shared services pump room. Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds (HHTS), has created bite-sized nutrition videos, designed specifically for people working in transport, warehousing, and logistics.   Each short video is like a lunchbox chock full of useful tips, from how to pack a healthy esky and choose easy, nutritious snacks, to understanding food labels, all aimed at supporting healthier eating habits on the go and at work.   There's a healthy bunch of other resources as well, including recipes, checklists, and infographics. We were so excited to welcome Toshiba Australia to The YARDS last week to break ground on their new facility. The team from Toshiba, along with Aware Real Estate, Frasers Property Industrial, Barings, and ResolveXO gathered on site to celebrate the official beginning of construction on what will be a purpose-built state-of-the-art facility. Toshiba Australia will build a new 5,677 sqm facility after signing a 10-year lease agreement at The YARDS. The facility will include a 5,220 sqm warehouse and 457 sqm office, two recessed and four flush loading docks, and a 65kW rooftop solar system which will support our aim to achieve a 6 Star Green Star Design and As-Built rating from the Green Building Council of Australia. General Manager NSW for Frasers Property Industrial, Roland Martin, said: “To be able to deliver best-in-class industrial developments like The YARDS, we need the support of our customers, and we are fortunate to have the senior management team from Toshiba here today to mark this milestone of commencing construction on their new facility." Managing Director of Toshiba Australia, Bret Davis, welcomed everyone to site before officially ‘breaking ground’. The facility is being built by CIP Constructions and is expected to be completed in August 2026.
