That’s a wrap on GWM Tech Day, and what a week it was! From Drive Days with media, dealers and partners from across Australia and New Zealand to insights from GWM leaders, it was all about innovation, connection and a whole lot of fun. At Drive Days, guests got behind the wheels of the GWM range, including the new Tank 500 Plug-In Hybrid with Hi4-T, taking on everything from muddy puddles to rocky climbs at the iconic Lang Lang Proving Ground. We also heard from global and local GWM leaders about what’s next at Tech Day: more made-for-Australia vehicles, the latest Hi4 and Hi4-T technology, and a vision for the future that empowers Australian drivers to Go With More every day. Across GWM Tech Day 2025, we welcomed media and dealers from across Australia and New Zealand to the iconic Lang Lang Proving Ground, where GWM has a permanent residency. From the new Tank 500 and Haval H6 Plug-In Hybrid to the Australian premiere of the Wey 80 and Tank 700, the full GWM line-up was put to the test. Yesterday, GWM Tech Day 2025 showed everyone what the future of driving looks like. From keynotes by Parker Shi (President of GWM International), Nicole Wu (Chief Technology Officer), James Yang (Vice President of GWM International), Richard Zhu (Chief Engineer for Hybrid Systems) to seeing Hi4 and Hi4-T technology up close, the day was filled with innovation, energy and purpose. More than a vehicle showcase, Tech Day was an immersive experience that brought GWM’s vision for the future to life. Guests explored Hi4 and Hi4-T technology in detail, and learned how Rob Trubiani, GWM’s Product Engineering Manager, is shaping local tuning to enhance the performance and capability of GWM vehicles in Australia. Capping off the day was the unveiling of the GWM Tank 500 Plug-In Hybrid and a live look at the Hi4-T powertrain, giving everyone a glimpse into the next generation of hybrid performance… and a reminder of what it means to Go With More. This Sunday at City2Surf, we’re teaming up with Australian decathlete Cedric Dubler to bring a bold idea to life: the first athlete to wear our Plug-in Hybrid Electric Pants (PHEPs). Inspired by the hybrid technology behind the GWM Haval H6GT Plug-In Hybrid, the PHEPs are a light-hearted nod to innovation. It’s an unexpected way to showcase the same forward-thinking mindset that drives our vehicle technology: blending performance, endurance and creativity. Will they work? 🤔 That’s part of the fun.
