Real-world evidence: AI supporting doctors when it matters most. The Sydney Morning Herald has covered a new independent study showing the real-world impact of our AI technology in NSW hospitals — and the results speak for themselves. Published in the Journal of Emergency Medicine, the research from Macquarie University found that doctors using the Harrison.ai chest X-ray solution improved diagnostic accuracy, preventing a misdiagnosis in one out of every 17 scans. The trial, conducted across five Sydney emergency departments with 200 doctors, highlights how AI can meaningfully support clinicians under real pressure, especially in high-stakes environments like the ED. Professor Farah Magrabi, who led the research, said: "There are very few studies that are actually evaluating AI systems in the hands of doctors. This study is really interesting because it delivers the evidence of what [AI] can do, particularly in a high-pressure ED environment." Professor Michael Dinh from Royal Prince Alfred Hospital added: "In an average shift, we probably read about 30 or 40 of these scans, right? So if it stops us from incorrectly diagnosing two patients in a shift, that's a massive thing for us." This matters because emergency doctors aren’t radiologists. They’re making rapid, life-or-death decisions with limited information. Our AI is filling a gap where it’s needed most. https://lnkd.in/g7Wjitck

We’re delighted to share that Harrison.ai has been recognised in The Australian’s Top 100 Innovators 2025 list. When Dr Aengus Tran and Dimitry Tran founded Harrison.ai, their goal was simple: to use technology to help solve healthcare’s capacity challenges – and improve patient outcomes at scale. Over the past seven years, we’ve achieved many milestones on the journey towards that goal. All driven by our incredible team, partners, and collaborators. And this recognition is also a reflection on the collaboration that’s baked into our DNA. So a massive ‘thank you’ to everyone who continues to believe in our vision to amplify the incredible efforts of the global healthcare workforce through AI innovation. Being featured alongside so many inspiring innovators is a humbling reminder of how far we’ve come. But, more importantly, how far there is to go. We’ve achieved some amazing things, but we’re not done yet…
Emergency department physician Aengus Tran and his brother Dimitry founded Harrison.ai four years ago. Their mission? To save lives. According to Tran, they are already making inroads on that ambitious goal. Backed by major investors and armed with AI, this Australian-born company offers a “second set of eyes” to medical diagnostics, with the potential to save countless lives. We’re thrilled to share that we’re redefining CT Imaging AI with three FDA Breakthrough Designations! This solidifies our leadership in next-generation technology for efficient, quality patient care in the U.S. and beyond. Our comprehensive AI models are trained on one of the world’s largest annotated radiology datasets (over one million clinical studies and 550 million expert-labelled findings), developed and validated with the expertise of 140+ board-certified radiologists. One of these deep learning models, in tandem with its foundation model, is also powering Harrison.ai’s auto-created draft reporting, already in development. We are especially proud that our Harrison.ai Comprehensive Care –Obstructive Hydrocephalus triage and prioritization solution is one of only two radiology Breakthrough Devices to earn FDA marketing authorization and become eligible for Medicare NTAP reimbursement—creating a clearer path for hospitals to adopt high-impact innovation that demonstrates real clinical improvement. Thank you to our partners, clinicians, and dedicated team who are making a difference in patient care every day. The journey to transform healthcare continues!
