Building on the success of “Hard to Spell, Easy to Treat,” the new phase promotes two simple steps to stay safe: use condoms, get tested. It’s all about open, stigma-free conversations and empowering people to take control of their sexual health. Targeting ages 16–49, with a focus on young people, pregnant people, and Aboriginal communities. 🚀 Digital Innovation in Healthcare The Digital Medical Record (DMR) Program, part of WA Health’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Program, has been shortlisted for Best Practice in Digital Transformation at the upcoming IPAA WA Achievement Awards on 12 December 2025. The DMR achieved full statewide deployment in August – giving clinicians real-time access to medical records and reducing the risks of paper-based systems. This milestone lays the groundwork for a comprehensive EMR rollout, strengthens cybersecurity, and improves care coordination across regional and metropolitan sites. 🚧 Exciting Progress at Osborne Park Hospital! 🚧   Site preparation has officially begun for the Osborne Park Hospital Expansion, a key part of the New Women and Babies Hospital Project.   This marks the start of a significant transformation to deliver state-of-the-art facilities for women, newborns, and families across Western Australia.   Temporary fencing with banner mesh has been installed to clearly define the work zone and from early October through November, steel Colorbond fencing with directional signage will be rolled out in stages. These measures will help guide hospital staff and visitors safely around the site while supporting ongoing construction activities.   Additionally, teams are currently locating existing water, gas, electrical, sewerage, and communications services.   These early works represent a major step forward in building modern, purpose-built healthcare infrastructure for our community.   #OsborneParkHospital #NWBHP #BuildingForWA #HealthInfrastructure #CommunityFirst

🛫 Team members at the State Health Operations Centre (SHOC) have officially taken off in the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) Oceans to Outback fitness challenge. 🚴♀️ Throughout October, the team will walk, run or cycle to raise funds that help improve access to care for people living in remote, rural and regional communities. For some, the nearest hospital is eight hours away! 🏃♂️ As a co-locating agency within SHOC, the RFDS is a vital partner in emergency response and healthcare delivery. Supporting the RFDS is another way the SHOC team can help regional communities access lifesaving care. Every year, the RFDS reaches more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services.
