🎉 Congratulations to Nickola Cox – One to Watch Finalist! We’re proud to share that Nickola Cox, Automation Team Leader at Heathwood, has been named a finalist in the prestigious Meat Business Women – One to Watch award! Finalists were carefully selected by an independent panel of three industry experts, ensuring a fair and thorough evaluation process. MBW’s Australian Chair, Stacey McKenna, highlighted the significance of this recognition, stating that the One to Watch Award "emphasises the importance of supporting women’s career growth and celebrating their accomplishments." While it's unfortunate that Nickola was not ultimately proclaimed the winner, being selected as a finalist from across the industry is an incredible achievement and a reflection of her talent, leadership, and contribution to innovation in our business. 🌍 To celebrate World Earth Day yesterday, we're proud to share our 2024 Sustainability Report, highlighting our progress toward our 2025 Sustainable Protein Plan. As we enter the final year of our strategy, we’re reflecting on the strides we’ve taken: ✅ All our sites have been audited to the SMETA ethical standard (the world’s leading ethical audit framework) ✅ 79% renewable electricity used across our global operations ✅ 47% reduction in food waste across our sites We’re on track to meet most of our 2025 targets and increase our ambition for others. We published science-based targets aligned to 1.5°C, limiting global warming as part of the UN Paris Agreement. We also increased our women in leadership target as a founding signatory of the Food Business Charter. But we know the journey doesn’t stop here; we are working across our business to develop our 2030 targets.
