Last Friday, our very own Julie Finnigan from Muirs.co Product Development team was honoured by the Tasmanian Agricultural Productivity Group (TAPG) with the Service to the Agricultural Industry Award. 👏 This recognition is a true testament to Julie’s dedication to advancing the agricultural industry and her leadership in cover cropping, biofumigation, crop production, and crop protection. Beyond her reputation as a leading agricultural researcher, Julie is passionate about sharing innovation with growers, both through her work at Muirs and through extension programs such as the Hagley Farm School Agricultural Learning Centre. We’re incredibly proud of Julie for this well-deserved and prestigious award. Congratulations, Jules, from all of us at Muirs! 💚 #Agriculture #Innovation #TAPGAwards #Muirs #MuirsTas #AgriculturalResearch #Tasmania

On 13 October 2025, Muirs Clyde branch proudly commenced participation as a collection site for bagMUSTER, Australia’s first industry-led recycling program for pre-used agricultural plastic bags. As a foundation partner, Muirs.co is committed to sustainability and reducing plastic waste across Australian farms. With BagMUSTER® rolling out nationwide in stages, farmers in the Clyde area now have a collection point to recycle used plastic bags — keeping them out of general waste and landfill, and turning this waste into new products made right here in Australia. A large vegetable grower in the Clyde region has already confirmed that their bags will now be diverted from landfill through this recycling solution, available at Muirs Clyde. The grower was pleasantly surprised to learn that his used bulk fertiliser bags could be recycled locally. Previously, these large plastic bags were disposed of via commercial waste providers and sent to landfill. By engaging with BagMUSTER®, he anticipates real cost savings on waste disposal and is delighted to be involved in this sustainable initiative. Huge thanks to our Clyde team leading the way in this area! Campbells Fertilisers Australasia #MuirsCo #BagMUSTER #AgRecycling #SustainableFarming #ResponsibleFarming
